Rooms were very clean and was great for the price. The hotel is going through renovations. Our room was newly renovated. We were only there at night, so the renovations did not affect us really. If you were planning to stay in your room during the day, it may be disruptive for certain guests.

VS-Villingen is a Medieval walled city within easy driving (or train) distance of many of the attractions in the Black Forest area of Germany. It is one hour and 15 minutes from either Zurich or Stuttgart International airports.
It has an incredible Fastnacht celebration in February. Like Mardi Gras in the USA, it is celebrated during the last days before the start of Lent (Ash Wednesday). The parades are amazing with ancient wooden face masks and elaborate costumes representing the various regions.

The apartment is attractive and sparkling clean. The owners greeted us cordially upon arrival. The apartment was pleasantly pre-warmed, which was most welcome in December in Germany. The queen bed was very comfortable and the bedding provided perfect warmth. It is conveniently located near a grocery store and a bank with an international ATM, and is within easy walking distance to the City Center. It met or exceeded all of our expectations and needs.
Located centrally in the Schwarzwald area within a convenient drive time to famous and great attractions for kids i.e Badeparadies or Tree Parks.

Very good location and plenty of parking which was operated vrey well by the hotel.
The hotel did not have a restaurant (other than for breakfast) but had a true 24 hojur service. One could go down to the reception or bar at alany time and get service.
We met with a friendly receptionist named Marya who welcomed us and provided us with useful information. The whole experience was good, including breakfast.
And the hotel has got two lovely rabbit on ground floor which child will like them very much.
Hosts were sp friendly and helpful. Home is nice and cosy. Getting to the parking is a little bit of effort but worth it. Garden at the back is refreshing in the morning. Surely recommend this home stay if you in Villingen Schwenningen.
Absolutely beautiful hotel - clean rooms and a great restaurant. The family that owns the hotel is lovely, they made sure we felt comfortable the entire stay. Our one years old daughter also enjoyed the special attention she gof.
