A good area for hiking and exploring the Black forest sights. Todtmoos is an attractive small town with shops and cafes’ however the food was so good at our hotel (Gersbacher) we opted to eat there each evening. There are some activities like bowling and putting in the area and a swimming pool , ( not used by us) ´ and some more adventurous activities for those so inclined.
Good beer’ wine coffee and cakes also abound and parking is generally easy.
The only negative is the proliferation of motorbikes’ extremely noisy and alarming on the twisty roads, which are also attracted to this region.

I was only here 1 night so didn't even get to look around...
I was only here 1 night so didn't even get to look around but Todtmoos seemed to have plenty to see with traditional looking German stores and restaurants. I think there was a Christmas shop which I'd have loved to have a look round if I'd had time. Snuggled into the mountains and forests with some beautiful walks on a nicer day I'm sure.

The location, high in the little Black Forest hamlet.,was stunning. Research the area and activities before your arrival as there is much to do if you know about it. Tourist Information is not as proactive as might be expected so source tours before you arrive.
Great view on Todtmoos from the balcony! Spacious and lovely holiday home with a small but handy kitchen. It’s conveniently close to the town center and the start of the 3 main advertised hikes around Todtmoos are within walking distance. Very welcoming and friendly hosts. We’d love to visit again!
Standard German hotel accommodation. Was better than expected for the price paid and still a great stay in the off-season. Attached restaurant served a standard dinner and breakfast. Staff was very accommodating and location was great for exploring and passing through.
The quaintness of the hotel made our Schwarzwald experience complete. Very good breakfast included every morning, and dinner was amazing. The apartment we booked was clean and well-equipped. Many hiking trails in the vicinity.

Comfortable and very peaceful for my 3 night stay. Wonderful view of Todtmoos from the terrace. A short but steep walk to the town that I didn't try. Great location for days out on my motorbike.
The hotel lies in the beautiful black Forrest. It’s not close to the highway, but the detour is very much worth it. The room was simple, but had all I needed for one night.
Special congratulations for wellness area (saunas, swimming-pool) and for the breakfast, most likely the biggest one I have ever seen (and I travel several times a month)!
