We were in room 'Zen', one of the theme rooms. It meant that the bed was low, Japanese style. Very nicely designed. Good bathroom, a large ceiling fan, and automatic shutters. Good breakfast.

The guest house is located in the old town with historical buildings and houses. Walking through the streets of the old town is so calming and refreshing.
The Main river is a few steps from the hotel across the street. Also enjoyed walking and spending quiet time by the river.
Hint:
We arrived on a Sunday around 15:00 and we were told that the hotel restaurant closes at 17:00. Basically after 15:30 they could offer coffee and ice cream.
However there are few quality restaurants in the old town around the market place which is only few hundred meters away.

The hotel has a very nice spa area and my wife took the opportunity to have some spa treatments during our stay. We had a room in the older part of the hotel which had an extra bed located adjacent to the main bedroom area as well as a balcony. We had an evening meal in the restaurant on the occasion of my wife's birthday and the staff dressed the table to mark the event.

We got a room on the top floor with funny low ceiling (inner height was only 1.87 cm at a few places). 2nd floor, no elevator, but the beautiful staircase compensated for the climb. It was also unusual to bump into an architect's office across the corridor and some random building models scattered around. It was cute, though.
The bed was super comfy, the room nice and cosy, The above average size (28 sqm!) was hidden in the extra large bathroom - there was plenty of space there. Everything spotlessly clean, a huge plus goes for the bluetooth enabled radio.
The staff was kind, professional and helpful.

The property is located in the old part of Sulzfeld am Main, which is, of course, not arranged for cars. The property has a parking places available, which was very convenient, and in addition, there is a rather parking place just outside the town walls, which also can be used. The gust room was located in a separate builing from the main house, very close by, and very convenient. The room was rather large, and very comfortable.
The owners and staff are extremely supportive, and ensured that are visit became very memorable
Sulzfeld is such a quaint town and this hotel seems to highlight the experience. The location is on the town's square, is attached to the town's best German restaurant, and it's a boutique wine hotel. It's just a great experience. The Bernard family are wonderful and cheerful hosts. Breakfast is super too!
