The check-in and check-out process is automatic, so we didn't have an issue with arriving late. We didn't meet any of the staff, so cannot leave feedback for that, but were pretty impressed with the automation.
The room was big enough, had good and clean linen and we even had a door opening to the garden, which was really nice.

The hotel offered the expected service for 3-stars, everything was OK. Due to very hot summer maybe an air-condition would give even more comfort to someone, but it was well replaced by opening windows during night, luckily without mosquitos :-)

Straubing is a handsome little place, quite lovely in fact. The main thoroughfare is wide and attractive with lots of shops, all very well kept. There was a market just packing up when I arrived in early afternoon. There is a beautiful Albrecht Dürer window in the church, which is well worth visiting. The Main Street, Theresienplatz, has several street Cafés or restaurants. Hotel Gaubodenhof had a large out-door eating area on Theresienplatz.

Never expected to find this type of accomodation in Straubing, Bavaria. As a frequent traveller I have seen thousands of superior to extraordinary hotels and stayed in most of them on a global scale. Asam did not ring a bell during booking but it certainly will in the future: professional team with that natural kind of friendliness all over the place. Location is easy to reach, the property itsself a mixed style arrangement from traditional to ultramodern. An unexpected pearl which made my day!
Wonderful location on the Donau Bike Trail with the city center immediately in front of the hotel . Our room 102 was spacious ,comfortable, light and clean. Shower was very good and there were toiletries in room . Elevator for upper floors . Good inside and secure bicycle storage . On site restaurant was on the city center (square) with good price point .

The location is directly across the street from the train station. It is also just a short walk from the main market square, and the river walk. It's a beautiful place in a great location, with friendly staff. The breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. The hotel also has its own restaurant with an outdoor seating area. Prices for the restaurant are comparable to local. My room was clean and comfortable. Overall, I had a really nice stay.
This was a perfect hotel in the middle of the towncenter of Straubing. Lovely employees, a good and spacious room, a very rich breakfast buffet together with walking-distance to a charming town took us really by surprise! Also good to be able to park our car safe in the parking garage in the lower floor of the hotel! We will be planning a new visit! Thank you!
Staff was super friendly. The place was absolutely clean. The rooms where nice as well. it was easy to find a parkingspot right in front of the hotel. Try the restaurant as well, they serve delicious food. The inner city is only a 10 minute walk away. Great place for a weekend with friends.

we are cycle touring the Eurovelo and needed a stop over and this was one of the few hotels available. it’s a 12 minute bike ride to the center of town. WiFi was under 10 mbps.
