The hotel is easy to reach from the highway, it is a lovely hotel with comfortable rooms, incorporating motifs from the old schoolhouse that it used to be, the staff is friendly and helpful, and the food is excellent. The breakfast is very nice, but the real highlight here is the exceptional restaurant. Plan to have dinner there! The food is gourmet, always so good, beautifully presented and creative, with an excellent wine list. Also the waiters and waitresses are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Stayed here for the second time, both times one night. This time on the other side of the building, with a balcony and a bit less traffic noise. Convenient location near the motorway for if you are passing through during a trip. Friendly staff. Very good food at the restaurant, which is open every day. Free parking. Supermarket and bakery shop next to the hotel in case you need any supplies. Breakfast served at the table (bread, butter, cheese, meat, jam, egg, juice, coffee), was okay.
Loved this hotel! We travelled with our dog - 15 Euros extra but he received a welcome treat, his own bowl and blanket. Our room had a door opening directly on to the carpark so we could take him out for a walk without going through reception.
We had a meal at the restaurant- if you want to treat yourself or have a special occasion it was well worth it.
Staff and owner were excellent.

Everything about this hotel is amazing, especially the staff. Alte Schule’s manager was very understanding and helped me a lot when I had personal issues. The hotel is very dog-friendly. We forgot to book a table at the restaurant, so don’t be us — book it in advance:) Our rooms were clean and spacious. We’re more than satisfied.
It was an amazing (but too short) stay! Really peacfull and quite place. Cozy room with an extremely big bathroom:) Also, it was so nice to find a small gift for our dog (and the hotel is pet-friendly btw, another advantage).
The parking is quite big, and the cuisine in the restaurant is delicious!

Sufficient parking in front of the hotel, large rooms with everything you need, easy to find but still quiet, good large bed, large breakfast with a wide variety of choices from coffee specialties to fruit juices, and from salmon to eggs.
