A very historic town from Roman times and on the border at the edge of the Roman empire known as the “Limes”
Most of the old town has very well preserved ancient buildings. It is directly on the river Main.
There are loads pf restaurants and places to people watch as you enjoy a drink or ice cream.
Easy access to the A3 Autobahn, 30km from Frankfurt airport and the City of Frankfurt. Other interesting towns such as Miltenberg and Aschaffenburg nearby.
A lovely hotel. Very friendly, welcoming staff. I don't speak German but the staff were so helpful and I had everything I needed. The room was clean, warm and comfortable with daily room service. Lovely varied and healthy continental breakfast, at just 7 euros a day. The location was also great, close to the railway station and walking distance to the town centre. I will definitely stay here again if I ever need to return to Seligenstadt
Breakfast was abundant— fresh, varied local food presented beautifully. Coffee machine even ground the beans for my several cups of cappuccino.
Staff were friendly and helpful as I was there to find the Displaced Persons Camp where I was born. Unfortunately this was not the Seligenstadt I was looking for. (Eventually tracked it down next to Würzburg.)
This town is a lovely stop for hikers and bikers in Bavaria.

Room is cleaned daily and it’s comfortable. It might be uncomfortable if you’re a tall person, as the ceiling is sloped.

The private courtyard, decorated by the host, allowed us to gather local relatives for pizza. The entire village of Seligenstadt is walkable from the apartment— bakeries, butchers, fresh fruit, and veggies a 2-minute walk.
check-in was a breeze and the breakfast was really extensive with a very good selection. Parking although public, is conveniently located right in front of the hotel. The hotel is very close to the quaint city centre.
Very friendly personnel and excellent service. A clean and modern quiet room with a nice view and very comfortable beds.
I've been in lots of hotels, but this was one of the best, especially for this price.
