Schuttertal - in particular Schweighausen - is excellent for walking in plain nature. A large number of trails are well marked and there are six theme based trails in Schuttertal and it's villages. Some of these trails are also suitable for mountain biking (not needing acrobatic experience).
Along the trails there are several restaurants, but check which days of the week they are closed.
Due to its small size Schuttertal does not participate in the KONUS system (free public transportation for guests), however ask for a guest card and you may get discounts on attractions in the wide vicinity.
