I had business trip to Hannover Messe, where the location was far in 1 hour, but Hannover had very expensive hotel that time.
If you have rental car and plenty of time to commute to the Messe, It is quite good enough.
Very calm and silent town, only one baker and penny mart.
April it has big Rapsöl in front of Hotel.
And it is another good point that you can use hotel 24 hours using key which get the key (check-in time)
Beautiful setting in the country.Would have liked a smiling...

Thank goodness we are computer literate!
The modern bedrooms were very original!
Had difficulty finding the hotel—WAZE did not do a very good job!And we got lost so we were a good forty minutes late, arriving at 8p.m.!And it was getting dark therefor finding the sign for the hotel was difficult!
However we would like to return one day!

Rinteln is located on the river Weser.
Rinteln is located on the river Weser. The area is great for biking, not only because it is on the Weser Radweg. Should you not feel like biking, do not worry. There is a lot of other opportunity to enjoy yourself. Go to the open air swimming pool, or visit the DokterSee. Several options for day trips are in the area. I recommend, the city of the Pied Piper; Hameln. Also the Externsteine.
For a full length (2-4 weeks) vacation, allow yourself to follow the Weser from where they kiss (Hannoversch Munden, where Fulda and Werra flow together and make the Weser) to where it flows in the sea. Should you do that, do not skip Rinteln for a night. And drink a beer for me at the Ratshaus. It is awesome.
The hotel staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful and tasty German breakfast every morning during our 7 night stay and finish our evenings with a glass of wine at the bar/restaurant. Also had a great dinner there with some of our friends and family. A special Thank you to Be Nita and Andreas, 2 of the employees at the hotel. They both took the time to get to know us and always had time for a conversation. We will be staying at Altes Zollhaus again on our next visit.
If you are up to adventure this place is for you. . The Hotel has some points to improve but Overall very nice, clean and comfortable beds, great location and fantastic view. Completely silent with window open all night! all family sleep so well. Definitely something to remember and will be back next time. Thank you
One of the best hotels we stayed in on our way to Poznan, perfectly located half way through between the UK and Poland. We cannot recommend the restaurant enough - the food is superb, there's large selection of great German wines and the staff are very curious and helpful. We'll definitely stay there again.
Host was extremely flexible and kind. Rooms clean, tasteful and generously furnished with all items family would need. Very nice rural area with 3 minutes drive to shops. Comparing to regular hotels I used before in the area this one is the best by far, will definitely book again.
The location is wonderfull, right in the centre of this beautiful town. We booked a room for 3 persons but ended up in a beautiful, new apartment in a building near the hotel, at the town square. We enjoyed our stay there very much.
Excellent location, modern and big rooms. Beautiful view. Public secured parking opposite the hotel and gave us the exit ticket the next morning during breakfast, which meant free parking.
Very clean. Friendly and helpfull. Practical carparking in front of the flat.
River Weser very near (5min) walk. Nice walk to Rinteln town via the riverbank walkpath (30min)
