The receptionists (both female ladies were really nice and cooperative.
There was a gentleman at the reception (probably a manager) who did not seemed so pleased when I asked for an iron and also did not leave a pleasant and cooperative impression.

Planegg has a lot going for it. It is close to Munich yet very quiet. In no time at all you can be in downtown Munich or enjoying Starnberg Lake. We experienced a fresh air market with many options, all locally sourced, and an Italian festival. One will find any type of store you may need, multiple churches, many dining options; all within walking distance.

Not knowing anything about Munich, we booked this lovely hotel as a home base to discover Munich, which was not very convenient for that purpose - it met the need by having a train station in town though but we did spend a lot of time on the train!
The rooms are all a little different with windows, bathrooms, size, bed configuration - the front desk staff was very accommodating getting us a room that worked for us.
Very fresh hotel, there is an elevator and underground car parking (additional fee around 9 Euro). Free parking is also possible nearby along the street. Beds are very comfortable, big plus for availability of rooms with 5 standard beds for bigger families. Bathroom looked new, actually the whole hotel looked very new. Just 5 min walk to train station where you have trains to center of Munich every 20 min approximately. Breakfast really good, it was actually sad to leave only after one evening & night.
This is an exceptional modern hotel for the price. The location is remote but with public transit it was very easy to access from city center for an individual or couple. If traveling with family it would be difficult as breaking into smaller groups and returning to the hotel would limit easy meeting up later in the day.
Everyone is very friendly and make you feel like family. The breakfast is good with made to order coffee and tea. There is a small grocery store that is adjacent to the hotel. Multiple bus stops close by and short walk to the train station. City center is a short ride away. Great small town feel!

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and its friendly staff. The hotel is a bit rustic/old but was well kept. Breakfast was really awesome with a good selection. The hotel was also located within walking distance from Planegg train station so it was very convenient as well.
The breakfast was perfectly in order, with a lot of choises. Planegg is a nice village, but with the S6 [on 8 min. walk] the center of München is easily reached. Several nice shops present in the center. The bathroom was beautiful, with a nice natural stone floor.
The staff are very friendly and make you feel very welcome. The restaurant is very good for both evening meals and breakfast. Also the station is a short walk and from there it is quick journey into the centre of Munich.
