The cloister is unique, in very nice location within the lake area of Bavaria near Chiemsee. Seeon has a extraordinary historical and spiritual atmosphere. The reconstruction of the hotel was costly, perfect and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent incl. domestic honey, pretzels and local bread. Little higher cost of the hotel but appropriate to the "genuis loci" of the whole histrical place wmebdded in a beautiful preserved nature.

Amazing the building, in the past it was a huge hotel, enormus ceiling height, strange rooms! Funny furnitures! The breakfast was in a separate room, where I was total alone! Huge parking behind the building! Kind old owners, who helped me around!

Pittenhart is a relatively small village and in 12 km distance to the lake (Chiemsee). In the village itself there is not much to do, but if you are up for a hike, a good point to start from. To get there you would definitely need a car though!
