Great place to stay in Freyburg if you have a car or a bicycle. About 30 minutes walk from the centre of town (past vineyards) and about 15 minutes uphill walk to the castle. The hotel has a good view from the restaurant terrace down onto vineyards. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were fine. The restaurant has a good balanced range of fresh food and a decent selection of local wines. The outdoor terrace is a great place to sit on a sunny day. The breakfast buffet offers a good spread of choices.

Everyone very friendly and welcoming. Buried in lovely countryside but be warned, access roads are of huge cobblestones - its a bumpy ride. Close to Freyburg and Naumberg both lovely towns - and the heart of the wine district
