A modern building just outside Nordlingen centre. A spacious minimalist room with wooden fittings. Very helpful at reception. We thought there would be a fridge and they provided one when asked. It was a little noisy though! There are Juliet balconies so you can keep the door open for fresh air securely and despite current roadworks it is literally 5 minutes from the old centre. Comfy beds, a good shower and plenty hot water as well as an electric kettle.
Plenty free parking (but Nordlingen has free parking outside the walls anyway). Table and a chair (and a bench).
There were some nice sunny spots to sit outside the hotel.
They offer you a free beer etc for not having your room cleaned – quite a good swap!

Noerdlingen is a wonderful old city with a complete wall that you can walk around. From the cathedral tower you can see the rim of the Ries meteor crater that the city is in. The agent in the city's tourist information office was very helpful.

Not too touristy, but plenty for tourists to do. Beautiful old German city with an intact city wall and gates! You can climb the tall church tower and see to the edge of the crater (weather permitting). Check out the crater museum or the city museum or the wall/tower museum. Walk on the old city wall. Take a day-trip to Dachau or Burg Harburg (large old castle). Rent e-bikes and go for a ride. Grocery store and several bakeries in the center of town. Lots of restaurants.

The complete city wall was fun to explore.
The complete city wall was fun to explore. We ascended the 350 steps of the church tower in the center of the town for a terrific view of the town and surrounding area. The town is cute and a good choice for a stop along the Romantic Road.

Great little place with all the charm of a warm cup of cocoa on a winter day (even though it was summer). Rothenburg ob der Tauber gets all the tourists, while this place retains it's soul. The Train museum is good. The people of the town are friendly. The value of the accommodations and food are worth driving the extra 45 minutes from Rothenburg. We are definitely coming back.

Nordlingen is a lovely town, very clean with a good selection of shops and eateries, and fabulous old buildings. I'd recommend the walk up the church's Daniel Tower if you are able to climb the 365 steps, the views are amazing. Walk around the town on the city walls too.

Adorable little town with a great medieval wall surrounding the perimeter. It’s actually the city in the end scene of “Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory” when they fly out of the roof of the factory. It had all the conveniences of a much larger city with the quaint old town feeling without being overrun with tourists or students. I would go back to hang out on a road trip layover stop again.
Our "room" was actually a small apartment, consisting of a room, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom and balcony - that was more than we expected. Everything was perfectly clean, staff was friendly.
A nice bonus was electric vehicle charger at the hotel parking that we were allowed to use for free.
The property has main building (where the breakfast is served) and another building nearby where we were located - it is a very short walk between them.
The location is great, it is a residential area close to the city center.
Concerned that there would be some road noise but as requested hotel gave us a room at rear of hotel. (In fact while we were there in early October there was not that much traffic on the road.) Superb breakfast with lots of choice including bacon and properly made scrambled eggs. Spacious room. Loved the quirky decoration especially the lift. Two minute walk into historic town
i used to make my stay in Noerdlingen in several old hotels but this time they are all full. Most facilities in this apartment is quite new and soon you forget it ia a really old house. It is at great location too. Friendly and considerable host. At an incredible price, you will only enjoy your stays. Nothing.to complain about and definitely worth.
Sustainable practices and very clean and modern lines and comfort. Coffee with grinder and French Press in room nice, as well as kettle. Fan in room is nice add and rare in Germany. Breakfast quite nice, but value at €13.50 pp maybe at limit. Location is fine as truly 5 minute walk to edge of old town and wall, and adjacent.
Hotel very well located, in the heart of Noerdlinger, near to many restaurants and places to visit. The hotel is also part of a excellent coffee / chocolate shop which is aside the building. Very good price and the breakfast was really amazing. The room has enough space for two people and it is well decorated.
+ The place is comfy, great but not the best. I would say it is cleaned properly. My room smells like a glue (or some other chemical) near the door. But the room overall didn't smell.

The art hotel is actually a new facade on an older hotel. We kind of liked the character of the interior, it was a bit of a throwback. The bed was huge. Not staffed in the evening but check-in went fine through the lock box. Good free parking in the rear.
