It is an older house but perfectly adäquat for a few nights. Breakfast was very good with regional products and not too lavish, which I often feel is unsustainable. Friendly service and a feel of being welcome.

The southern area of the heath seems to be quieter and less commercial than other parts. Don’t miss a visit to “Schwinde Quelle”. The springs are a truly magical display of nature! With parking less than 50 meters away it's accessible to all ages of visitors.

The hotel and grounds are beautiful and really well maintained. The staff were attentive, friendly and made us feel welcome. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the restaurant was also good for a lunch or evening meal. The location is fantastic as a base for hiking, cycling etc. The room was immaculately clean. We would definitely return.
Very nice and friendly staff, super breakfast and very good restaurant. We had a super room (again, we have been there before, and will definetely come again) with parking right outside the hotel. The hotel is right in the middle of Lüneburger Heide.

Hotel is really beautiful. Staff is extremely nice. You do need a car since it is located in pure country area. No public transportation that I could see.

a slightly old fashioned hotel but none the worse for it. we found it a charming place to stay and the staff were lovely. we had a wonderful 5km walk before dinner straight from the door.
They were very welcoming. The restaurant was surprisingly good and If you had small kids there was also a small playground. The walking paths started directly from the hotel.
