it's only several minutes walk from the train station. it's also on the street where there are a few restaurants and bars. but it wasn't peak season as i went on October so it was just a couple of restos opened at night including the hotel's,
breakfast was also served and the choices were enough. since there was a tour group around, staff were quiet bust refilling.
the room is big enough and it felt like a house bedroom , not a hotel. wifi also worked well and there were tables and chairs that you can use on the corridor. it felt like an old mansion.
Breakfast on our beautiful Moselle terraces is possible depending on the weather. The service can be booked individually on site. We will find an individual solution for you in any case.

The weekend was perfect: fantastic breakfast, a friendly host, a spacious apartment with modern bathroom (upgrade from the double room due to Wifi issues in Room 8) and the matresses were comfortable (not very firm, but neither did I end up in a "hole"). We were given free tickets for regional public transport (bus and train) for the duration of our stay. Location was great!
Tip: if you need reliable Wifi in the bedroom, book an appartment, not a double room in the main house, which is also facing the street

A sleepy village between point A and point B.
A sleepy village between point A and point B. This is the perfect place to stay if you are coming to see the castle. You can walk or walk/bike to the castle. That takes about 30 minutes to walk/bike. Just walking will take longer. There really is nothing here unless you are looking for peace and quiet few people. It's why it's so wonderful. No ATM's. No WiFi. I like it!
A perfect place when you want to explore the Burg Eltz and the nearby area.
Close to nature and walking. Everything you need at one and the same hotel. Good food and drinks in the restaurant. A silent cosy room with a large bathroom. And best of all - the breakfast with so much to eat and excellent details.
Extra plus for shuttleservice from and to the trainstation in Moselkern. We just hade to phone and tell when we arrived with our train so did they send a car for us. Without extra costs.
Location is great of you are planning to hike from the town to the Eltz castle (about a 3-mile hike from the hotel). Parking is close by ( 2 minutes walk) and free. There is also a very nice place with good wines, Weckbecker, which is just 3-5 minutes walk from the property. Nothing fancy about the hotel but it's safe, clean, comfortable and has everything you need. The people running the place are nice and friendly.
Large room with comfy beds. The owner of the hotel was very friendly. The hotel has two buildings, a main building with reception and restaurant and another building with only rooms. We stayed in the second building which was very quiet. There is a beautiful 40 minute walking trail to Burg Eltz which starts right next to the hotel.
You can see that somebody is making the best out of a 70ies hotel building. Everything was technically in good shape and super-duper clean. The owners couple is very friendly and the breakfast service was really great - just ask if you miss anything.

Located close to Burg Elz. Excellent food, beer, and wine. Very close to the Moselkern train station. Restaurant has many locals eating and drinking there making a fun atmosphere.
