Lovely quiet holiday apartment right between the medieval church and one of the lakes in Lychen. The bathroom has seen better days, but overall I really enjoyed my stay.

The location by the lake is beautiful and I'm quite sure I'll spend some more days there soon. The town "Himmelpfort" is fun because the post office is the "official" address of Germany's Santa; the main attraction are the four or five lakes around town. Nearby Furstenberg is easy to reach (3 miles or so) and has some good and cheap grocery stores. All in all a positive experience.

We were amazed by the shower - the showerhead emitted light of changing colors when using it. The room was very large, with a shared balcony and a hint of a lake behind a line of trees. The bed was very comfortable, the furniture (simple) and bathroom (nice) seemed very new. Furinture in staircase and aisle pure kitsch.

My favorite hotel feature was the sauna area, which also had a cozy seating area. And the staircase to the lake for a quick refreshing dip was a great added bonus. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the breakfast selection had a nice selection of options. Our room had a lovely view of the lake!
