Klotten is a great place to stay and the apartment was nicely located with easy free parking on the street outside.
I would happily recommend it to any of my friends and would stay again if I was visiting the Mosel area.

Nice little quiet town where you can enjoy being by the side...
Nice little quiet town where you can enjoy being by the side of the Mosel without the super touristy crowds of Cochem. Very easy access to Burg Eltz, Reichsburg Cochem, and the Calmont Klettersteig, if you have a car - so it made for a very nice base for us to come relax to after adventuring around those areas.
I really enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It is located in a building with a lovely terrace where you can have breakfast or dinner from the restaurant. The selection for breakfast is excellent, with fresh cheese and spreads, fresh fruits, and juices. The room was comfortable, however, there was no balcony, like in other rooms. The location is perfect: near the train station and on the bank of the river. The team is very friendly, and, of course, a lovely dog is a great bonus.
Would definitely stay there again, if given a chance!
Breakfast was awesome, the location is near to Klotten's train station and you have also an awesome view of the Moselriver. There's also the oportunity to drink a good wine, eat a tasty Applestruddel or a eiscream. Bed was also very comfy and everyday during our stay, someone of the staff came to do the cleaning service of our room. We were traveling with our dog, the staff were also very welcoming with him.
The hosts were fantastic and their hospitality is greatly appreciated. People usually frown upon taking breakfast to rooms but our hosts were understanding since we were with kids.
Breakfast (that came with the stay) itself was luxurious. The only thing that could have improved on their "German Hotel Breakfast" experience would have been fruits and/or vegetables.

Knowing some simple German phrases would be helpful. One of the hosts did not speak English. Klotten is a lovely town, not very far away from Cochem which has alot of tourists. You can easily hike to Cochem and back in a day. Worth a visit.
Overall the hotel was perfect and the evening meal on the terrace was a real treat, Thanks Christa was looking after us, you were great. Breakfast was good and all you needed. Appreciated the safe parking for the motorbikes and one less thing to worry about. Will certainly come again!
Good sized room with easy access and individual controlled heating. Klotten is a typical Mosel will be village with several producers and photogenic streets. The hotel is in a perfect location for both the train station and reaching the Moselsteig pathway.
Excellent stay at the Hotel Zur Post. Our apartment was spotless, with all the extras. The view from our room was stunning! Would definitely recommend when traveling to the Moseltal.
Service, we felt like home, the hotel is comfortable and very close to Cochem and the amazing castles around. Home made cakes were delicious as well as the food.
