an excellent small hotel with a very satisfying restaurant (check opening times). The restaurant staff were efficient and super friendly... a great atmosphere:)....The room was basic and clean. The hotel is easy to find from the highway and i resrved a parking space which is an inset off the street but part of the hotel (street parking with benefits). I noticed a few other shops nearby and a bakery across the road. Check in was simple and friendly. The lady who organised breakfast was super friendly. Continental breakfast has for a long time moved on from a coffee and a bun... the morning meal was ample and fresh.
I love the area. Lots of little towns to visit which are in the local area. Kevelaer (pilgrimage town) is beautiful with the 2 churches in the square. At least 5 massess each day, very touching place. Geldern is a bigger town with plenty of good shops and cafe's. On the boarder with Holland Very flat countryside.
Very clean hotel. Our room was spacious and had a sizeable private bathroom. Free hotel car-park just across the road. Breakfast: good quality and adequate choice. We spent 3 nights here and found it comfortable and quiet. Kerken has all necessary amenities: bank, shops, restaurants, cafés. Would use this hotel again.
