I'll start with the fact that the hotel is very nice, excellently located (close to the ferry and a small beach), has beautiful rooms, well-equipped, and offers great breakfasts, coffee service, etc. Only positives here.
The first concern relates to the advance payment for the stay. I booked the trip six months in advance, in August 2023, and Booking.com offered a free cancellation option up to a month before arrival, which would be until December 2nd. Therefore, I was surprised to receive an email from the hotel right after making the reservation, stating that they expect an 80% deposit within 3-5 days, or my reservation would be voided. I protested since there's an option for free cancellation, but they were firm. I wanted this trip, so the only thing I negotiated was a deferred payment until the end of September, but it still meant financing the hotel for 3 months, as my stay was planned for January. But that's okay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful with any problems I had. It was worth the money. Also the view from the hotel was absolutely lovely!

Great location at the top of the cliff (there’s a lift if you don’t fancy the stairs), with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I had a room with a balcony with stunning views of Düne, passing ships and the wind farm in the distance.

Nice bird cliffs with good access, a fantasticly well organized Island with very nice park benches everywhere, a lot of restaurants/cafes, grocery stores, a nice place for both bird photograpohy and holiday

Great sceneries of a small-sized island in the middle of the North-Sea. Very good walking trails on the island, leading to the gannet colony at the north-west of the island. The breeding season was not yet over, and many young birds had to be fed to grow so that they can withstand the coming autumn and winter period. I could take many nice pictures of the gannets at quite a close distance, the large sea-birds were pretty used to the tourists and photographers.
At another day, we want for a small boat trip to the neighboring but remote island called "Dune", which has a sand-shore, an airport and a small camping site.
We were very lucky with the weather, the forecast was really bad with above 15mm of rainfall on a single day. Luckily, that never happened when we were there. Weather forecasts can be wrong too, luckily.
The room was bigger than I expected and the facilities exceeded my expectations. Everything was quite new in the room, even if it didn't look like it from outside of the hotel. The check in and check out are processed outside the hotel at a centralised office and the breakfast is also outsourced, but that doesn't create much discomfort. The scrambled eggs were exceptional.
The location is great! Not on the main street, but real close to it.
And also close to the lift to the upper part of the island (Oberland).
The apartment itself is big enough for a couple and it's well equipped with all that one needs for the day to day if you don't feel like going out for dinner.
