Excellent location for our activities - bike tours, kayaking. Many cycle paths right next to the accommodation, a 5-minute walk to the lake. There are a number of options for preparing a kayak and launching it onto the lake.
The private house is tastefully, comfortably furnished and clean.
The living area has a kitchenette equipped with a stove, oven, coffee maker, and refrigerator. (Perhaps a microwave oven and a few small coffee cups would be nice to have :-)

The bedroom also has the option of a balcony and is adjacent to the bathroom and toilet. Massive and comfortable beds.

Lovely accommodation with a peaceful country feel. So quiet & the view from our balcony was gorgeous. Breakfast was yummy too. Definitely recommend staying here, would stay again for sure.

Cute corner of lake Chiemsee. Ferry terminal to various points/islands. Choose your gasthaus or hotel carefully as some have their own lakeshore grassy areas/deckchairs cornered off & ‘privat’. 2/3 restaurants within walking distance along with 2/3 cafes. Quiet area - everyone in bed and up early. Easy to hire bikes & all types of boats (SUP, peddle, electric etc;) An hour distance from Munich and Salzburg. Mainly German tourists though most locals have smattering of English.

The hotel had a great breakfast.
The hotel had a great breakfast. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We liked the option to hike along the path, there were a lot of cyclists on the path, the option to go across the lake to different parts (the castle Ludwig II King of Bavaria, Seabrook, little island across, the dining options: Cafe Inselblick, an Italian restaurant nearby and other close by restaurants) and it is very close to Munich. A great little souvenir shop beside the Italian restaurant sells cute little unique souvenirs (nickel free bracelets, little felt Liederhosen change purses, little good luck piggy banks etc).

Beautiful location with views of the lake, Fraueninsel, and mountains. Excellent location for going to Herren Chiemsee and the Christmas Market on the Fraueninsel. Short walk to the ferry and the restaurants in the village. No where near as many people traveling from Gstadt compared to Prien. Very quiet and uncrowded. The hotel breakfast was phenomenal; so many choices.
Lovely, comfortable rooms with balconies. Fabulous location, we loved the lakeside settlement of Gstadt on Chiemsee.
Breakfast buffet was OK, food was nothing special, but eating on the terrace with a lakeside view was special.
There was no dinner served by the Hotel, but the adjacent restaurant was good and allowed us to eat on the Hotel terrace.

it is a superb location, but you will need transport to get from the hotel into Gastd for eating etc, as there is no restaurant at the hotel.
There is no bar, but a machine to get alcohol, so it is best simply to buy in a shop, to consume at the hotel, on the lovely terraces.
The location is perfect, right in front of the lake and the docks to go to the islands. The bathroom is great size, very clean and beds and very comfortable. The hotel seems very new and staff was friendly and helpful! Plus breakfast is amazing!!! Would definitely stay there again!
The location of this hotel is excellent, especially the view! It also does not take longer than 5 minutes to walk down to the private area at the lake.
