Lovely little town, lots of walking trails, plenty of choices for eating out. And within easy reach of larger towns (Nurenberg, Bamberg, Bayreuth)
The castle is interesting and the Basilica is also worth a visit.
Would definitely recommend this town for a visit.

The hotel exceeded my expectations with its impeccable service and comfortable accommodations.The dinner experience at the hotel restaurant was outstanding, featuring freshly prepared dishes and a delightful dessert. Additionally, they offered a fantastic selection of locally crafted beers. The breakfast was rich and varied. I highly recommend the hotel for a delightful stay!
The host was very friendly and she went an extra mile in making our stay very comfortable. Check-in was fast, the room was very clean and spacious. The host made sure we got more than enough information regarding the nearby activities in the area. Breakfast was also nice and delicious. We shall definitely stay at this hotel again in Summer.
Overall I was satisfied with this hotel. Room was clean and suitable for my needs. The breakfast was good and had something for everyone. The only negative for me was the bed, at least in my room the matress was bowed in the middle. I would definitely consider staying again, but next time I will check the bed before I take the room.
The apartment is well-equipped, spacious, and comfortable, located next to several good restaurants and 3-5 min driving from multiple climbing crags. There is a big balcony with a great view. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful.
