The house is easy to find and very nice, with a beautiful garden and outdoor seating. Beautiful woodland surroundings. Few minutes from the riverside. It comfortably accommodates 3 people. It was sparkling clean, the kitchen was well equipped. We would definitely stay again :)

Very nice Apartment, Look the same as in the photos. 6 mins walking distance to 2 big supermarkets and Rossmann. 2 bathrooms 2 toilets, both bedrooms very enough space. Furniture all clean as new, from building door until apartment front door only a few stairs.

The outdoor heated swimming pool complex is a wonderful feature. It's only 1.50 Euros per person per hour, or 5 Euros for a full day. It has flumes and paddling pools, several other pools, diving boards, and is heated. In two weeks I was there four times and could have gone more often!
Geesthacht itself isn't particularly picturesque, but it has a large pedestrian area, with a good variety of shops including a sewing/knitting shop and a bookshop. We found it a pleasant place for a stroll.
The main supermarket, Rewe, is quite good, with a decent variety of everything you could need. There are a lot of places to eat outside, which was useful for us as we are covid-vulnerable.
It's very near the River Elbe, and you can hire bikes including ebikes from tourist information, although you may have to book in advance. Last time we were here we had a pleasant ride along the Elbe.

We did not stay long enough to comment much. The Edeka supermarket was outstanding for its range of supplies and the friendliness of the staff we met. There are three filling stations, one cheaper than the other two.
We needed an overnight place to stay outside of Hamburg and this was a good option. You can park any size car outside easily. Staff were helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and comfortable (one level down). Wi-Fi connection was good. Nice to have restaurant onsite to have dinner after a very long day of driving. The breakfast spread had a very good selection.
Nice location in a small town on the Elbe, friendly staff, decent facilities for the price, perfect if you are travelling through and don't want to spend a lot of money on a hotel in the city. Room was clean and quiet. Popular greek restaurant attached to the hotel. Nice park nearby for a walk in the evening. Easy access to the motorway and free parking.

Breakfast was excellent. The service during the breakfast felt very nice. The room was very comfortable to stay, but felt a bit cramped. Restaurant at the hotel was amazing! I will stay here again for sure!
