The location is fantastic!!! Gorgeous, peaceful, great views with great walks. Even in the pouring rain it felt soecial. The breakfast was also perfect with a good range of food options and even fresh waffles which was a nice surprise! The staff were also happy to refill hot water and coffee and regularly checked that there was enough rolls. We also liked the Kneipp cold water from the lake.

Really beautiful little town.
Really beautiful little town. Lots of interesting shops, great restaurants and very tempting pastries. The town is overlooked by the Alps affording spectacular views but there are also riverside walks and quaint streets to explore plus a Franciscan monastery and a castle. Plus Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein castles are a short bus ride or taxi ride away.

Wonderful, peaceful little town, perfect for those who love...
Wonderful, peaceful little town, perfect for those who love hiking and nature. There is an awesome reptile zoo nearby too, worth seeing. The people smile and say "hello" to strangers on the street and everyone decorates their houses almost as if it's some contest to make their property cutest. In spring the whole area is drowning in flowers blooming and sounds of birdsong.

It's beautiful, at the foot of the mountains. The downtown area is quaint and offers a wide array of shopping options that range from inexpensive to custom/higher end items. Many eateries and bakeries to choose from, with cuisine from all over the world. The town is not large, but has every feature we wanted. The local parks are amazing if you're traveling with kids! They had scooter paths, basketball, bike tracks, everything! The hiking trailheads can be found within walking distance from town and are lovely. It's only a 4 minute drive to Neuschwanstein Castle and makes getting there easy.

Make sure you receive a "Fussen Card" with your...
Make sure you receive a "Fussen Card" with your accommodation. Allow a full day to do the castles and make sure you are there for the morning (8 am )tickets so you can beat the bus loads of other tourists. Food from restaurants is expensive and parking for the day is 10 euro. Catch the bus for 3 euro and save your legs.
Breakfast was excellent. The location would have been good if every road to the hotel hadn't been blocked by construction causing us and a bunch of other cars to drive around in frustration for two hours straight until the roads reopened. (Apparently Füssen doesn't care to support their local businesses by planning roadwork properly.) Most hotel employees were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Employees gave good advice and directions. The bathrooms were very spacious. Seems like a child-friendly place.
A very nice, clean, quiet hotel close to Füssen. Our group of 3 had 3 single rooms, and all rooms were clean & spacious. All three of us were very satisfied with this hotel and we will definitively stay here when we go here again. The staff members are very nice, friendly, competent, patient, and are dressed in traditional Bavarian clothes – which are nice to see instead of business suits & ties. The free parking was nice & convenient. A nice breakfast buffet too.
Alles... This hotel is very well located in the old town of Füssen :) . It is a very charming area with a spectaculous architecture all around. The room was big and with a balconny and it included all what would be needed. We were welcome like if we were home. The breakfast was awesome and we could choose a large variety of local products. The hotel has a Restaurant on the ground floor with typical foods from the Bayern region.
We arrived early by car. Onsite free parking was a big plus. We were allowed to check into our room several hours before check in time. The staff was most friendly and accomodating. Walking distance from the hotel lies the Old Town of Fussen. The ‘Rewe’ grocery was just a short walk away. Most impressive was the breakfast both in presentation, variety and taste. We would definitely book here again when we return to Fussen.
The hotel is very near the train and bus stations. It is completely sound proof. The room was very clean and of good size. Breakfast was super good, varied and abundant. The hotel owner was extremely helpful, always ready to give useful hints for our stay. The hotel is close to the main attractions too. I would choose this hotel over and over again should I visit Fussen again.

This is a proper traditional German hotel with a proper traditional German restaurant. Everything is very clean and really practical. The restaurant is very good, so I didn't need to think where I should go for dinner.
My room had a balcony with fantastic view. I'm pretty sure that when I visit Füssen next time this will be the first hotel I will look for.
We absolutely LOVED this hotel. Beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was amazing and had the best shower ever. The Breakfast was incredible and very good value for money. The staff was very friendly. It was right in the centre of Fussen and very close to the station. Genuinely one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in.

Füssen is so much more than just Neuschwanstein Castle - definitely worth spending a day there. The hotel also gives you a discount card for local attractions.

We just spent one night in Füssen before heading to Dolomites. Under the hotel is a croatian restaurant which is quite convenient. The staffs are nice and friendly. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from the old town where you can find many nice restaurants or backery for breakfast.
Welcome drink especially the hot red wine, room - big and full of all facilities & amenities, location - in the centre of Fussen, parking - hotel has their own private parking, breakfast - plenty of choices & after breakfast, owner will 'force' you to pack some for lunch, haha
the hotel was an unexpected modern treat in middle of Fussen. all the comforts and styling we expected. we had the breakfast option and 10/10 would recommend. good wifi, clean facilities, gorgeous room, nice mini bar. very chic and comfortable for a get away or longer stay.
The staff was so wonderful when we arrived. The hotel itself has a lovely cozy but modern and funky feeling. The room was perfect for our family of four and the dog. We are looking forward to planning another trip to Füssen mainly to stay at this hotel again!
Hotel Hirsch has a great location just outside the city walls of Fussen. The staff was attentive and helpful. Rooms simple and pleasant. We have a nice dinner in the restaurant and breakfast was very good.
