During July 2023, our German/Thai family stayed twice at the hotel for a total of 14 nights. We loved it there both times. So did family and friends visiting us.
The apartment was spacious with 2 bedrooms, large kitchen, large living room with dining table, 1 bathroom with toilet and a second guest toilet, a separate room which I used as my office, and a large terrace where I could smoke. The apartment was well equipped throughout, and the staff was always friendly and helpful. Even with hot outside temperatures of up to 35 degrees C, the apartment was always cool.
The hotel is close to a restaurant with a playground for children ("Waldheim"). Our kids (12 and 10) just loved the apartment and the playground. So did we as their parents. It was a perfect fit for our needs.

Fantastic welcoming, professional, and helpful staff. We got a room upgrade for free (in the highest season, Christmas). Very comfortable beds, lights, big bathroom with a bath. Great breakfast, all possible options, and very fresh.
The hotel was full of families, foreigners, and groups - everyone looked happy.
I recommend this hotel to all Esslingen guests.

Betty and Iren - those who work morning and prepares breakfast were super kind, I have lots of good memories during our morning breakfast discussions. I have gotten so close with them that they offered me to leave my dirty laundry with them and they would clean them that night. I felt I was at home and the ladies were my sister and my mother. Of course, some gratuity would be nice for them as they have lots of work to do. Food was good, as expected from typical hotel, eggs are better when you get there early because they are still warm. Betty also offered to take me to the Esslingen train station and called taxi to drop me off, which are all services I did not expect from a small hotel. The location is close to Denkendorf so in the morning I walked across the field for about 15-20 minutes to get to work. I also love the drawings and artwork that hangs in between the hallways. No AC units, but you do not need it as there are fans and windows that you could open.
This 3-star hotel in Esslingen offers comfortably furnished rooms, Wi-Fi internet and a sauna and fitness room. It lies in the town centre, 400 metres from Esslingen S-Bahn train station.

Esslingen is a small, medieval town just two S-Bahn or regional train stops from Stuttgart (less than 10 minutes). It's very central to many places you may want to visit in the state of Baden-Wuerttemburg. For me, it made the perfect "home base." The town is small, so quiet and not overly touristy, but big enough to keep you busy wandering the streets of the old town, shopping, eating, and hiking up into the vineyards for a couple of days. Very historic feel with lots of photogenic old buildings and cobblestone streets. Excellent Swabian restaurants as well as a good mix of international cuisines. The opportunities to taste wine and walk in the vineyards and up to the Burg (fort) were an added bonus.

Esslingen is a historic town southeast of Stuttgart.
Esslingen is a historic town southeast of Stuttgart. It has a very lovely downtown area, and reasonable shopping. It is served by the S banh surface train that goes to Stuttgart in 20 minutes or so. It is next to where the Mercedes-Benz factory is located.
From Esslingen you can take short trips to many other nice historical locations. Driving a car is a must but Germany is one of the best countries to drive I know.

Esslingen is a great town to visit.
Esslingen is a great town to visit. It is more than one thousand years old and has a lot of historical monuments.
Strolling through the "Altstadt" with the old houses and the many outdoor cafes is a real pleasure.

We have been to Esslingen from Stuttgart for the mediaeval Christmas market. We wanted to see it during May so went for4 days. Esslingen is a beautiful town. Many small streets with great building, so impressive postcard looking. You can wander to the market square so many different ways. Lovely restaurants and coffee and cake places to eat and chat. When we go to Stuttgart Christmas market again we will stay in Esslingen and travel to Stuttgart from there.

Lovely old town, really pretty .
Lovely old town, really pretty . Lady in tourist office really helpful and informative. There is a bus that goes to the airport cheaper than the train and with no changes. Sunday is really quiet there with shops closed. Plenty of places to eat and drink.
This flat is an amazing place where to stay in Esslingen . It is large 2 bed ( max 5 guests) , with high ceiling . And it has a great location - super close to train/bus station and town centre . We absolutely loved underfloor heating in toilet . There is ironing board and iron available and of course kitchen . Flat is in stone house , it was nice inside - when outside was +34C
The front office staff and the cleaning crew were so nice! They helped me out after I lost my key (which I accidentally left behind at a family member's house) and couldn't get into the hotel late at night. The room was always spotless after a cleaning. The location is ideal if you want to be near the train station (5 min walk) or close to all the shops/cafes/restaurants.
The location was excellent, very close to the S Bahn station with a bus stop right outside. The room was comfortable and very quiet. Breakfast was good and prepared us for the day. Staff were also friendly and helpful. The hotel was great value for visiting the excellent Christmas Market in Esslingham, which was a bus ride or 2 stops on the S Bahn from the hotel.
Absolutely beautiful flat, with lots of light and spacious for a studio. Well equipped! There was tea, coffee and water waiting there for us. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was so nice. Bus stop was very close which made it easy to travel to the inner city of Esslingen or on to another destination. Would definitely stay there again!
We stay here on every trip to Esslingen and it's always a great stay! Very clean hotel and friendly staff. We come yearly for the medieval Christmas market and are never disappointed! The market is about a 12-15 minute walk and we always feel safe here.
If you drive and need a parking place, you will be entertained by their parking garage!
Very nice and sweet staff. They didn’t understand English that well. But listened and tried their best. The pool area and room was really nice. We put the do not disturb sign on the door but regretted after we left and asked the hotel through booking.com message if they could clean, and they did. So that was super!
This is the first time I've stayed at a Niu Hotel and would definitely stay in another. The room was comfortable and clean, and while not especially big, it was well layed-out and attractive. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful.
It was a great apartment to stay in Esslingen, appx. 10 minutes walk to center/old town, extremely clean, very comfortable, large balcony with the view of the park across the steeet, easy check in and check out, Highly recommended
Located right next to Hoschschule Esslingen and by the river, with a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Breakfast had plenty of options and was overall good. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

Spacious room, good shower, excellent breakfast. Hotel is very "green" and even generates its own electricity from a turbine in the old millrace. Excellent value!
