Care : we arrived on Saturday to start bike ride along Donau. Restaurant was very quiet on Saturday evening but we returned 8 days later at Sunday lunchtime and we had to wait for a table.

An attractive granite built hotel full of character converted from former farm buildings in a quiet location situated within the Bavarian Forest. The bedroom located in a separate building was spacious with a balcony and open views across the countryside. For dinner the menu had a good choice of meals made with local products. Breakfast was good with a selection of cold meats, cheeses etc.

Unfortunately we arrived when the hotel restaurant and bar were closed (Thursdays) had we known we would have cancelled the booking. We always book for hotel with restaurant/ bar and parking. The evening attendant spoke no english and made no effort to try and help our limited german understanding. We found him rude. Thankfully within a 20 minute walk we found a great hotel where we ate very well and had a few beers. See photos.
Booking.Com and hotel need to make it much clearer at time if booking that their facilities could be limited on arrival. Shame really as breakfast was reasonable. However their loss. would not stay again due to attitude on arrival. Thankfully only stayed one night.
This hotel has modern elevators to bring you up to the top floor. Room was well furnished, clean and very comfortable and heaters were strong enough to keep the cold night away. Breakfast was sufficient, though dinner was good.
The hosts were wonderful and friendly, they organised us dinner after the kitchen closed, gave extra treats for our dog,super welcoming and lovely. Location is quiet and beautiful. Rooms are spacious. Nice hotel.
A simple but clean hotel with nice staff and optimal location for an overnight stay in a bike tour. Good and abundant buffet breakfast. Good valu for money.
