We were taken to at least two eating places: One near the train station; The Curry House Restaurant where I had a taste of Pork and another restaurant, southern end of FAU Institute, we had very tasty Pizza.
Getting around Erlangen is quite easy considering affordable buses are all over the place. Next time I would avoid moving around the city by taxi instead of buses

Just easy place to find.
Just easy place to find. But too close to the motor way unfortunately. No hot water unclean Parkin area rubble in the parking bay. I did complain but they only refunded a 10 % as we had no hot water after a long journey . Very bossy reception manager. Not helpful .

It is an okay town.
It is an okay town. Being a student town, there is always something happening near city center (Hugenottenplatz) that will suit your liking. It is well connected with Nürnberg with both S-bahn and RE, and also has well connected bus network within the town. I recommend walking from Neuermarkt to Schlossplatz, or have a picnic in Schlossgarten. That is the most vibrant part of the town, with many shops. Occasionally, there are people playing live music in this path too.

As a tourist base for the city Erlangen and the neighboring cities Fürth and Nuremberg the hotel is really well suited. Car parking in the underground car park of the hotel (13,00 € / day) is possible. Breakfast is unfortunately, in our view, its price (22.90 € per person) is not worth it. During the week there are some alternatives in the immediate vicinity (city center) of the hotel.
Overall: recommended value!

Small town but has a charm to it.
Small town but has a charm to it. It’s very lively especially during weekends. The buildings are beautiful (*it kinda reminds me of Disneyland in Paris). The streets are also very clean, though I’ve never seen any garbage cars or scavengers.
Cool city for a max 3 day business-stay, otherwise the city will make you become really bored. You don’t need bus tickets since the town is so small.
Places to see: Botanical Garden, Neustädter Kirche, Orangerie, Schloßplatz, Hugenottenplatz Place to shop: Erlangen Arcaden
Place to eat: Kitzmann Bräuschänke, Teehaus

Went to Erlangen primarily as a good base to visit Annafest in nearby Forcheim. Was pleasantly surprised by the town. Not a touristy place, but really nice nontheless. Very clean, easy to get around, great transport links, plenty of choice for eating out, and a lovely park.
The apartment is spacious, exceptionally clean and fitted out with high quality appliances. It has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. A big bonus was having access to parking for our rental car. It has lovely views of an open green area and is in easy walking distance to the City Centre as well as close to nice jogging and walking routes. The host and hostess are friendly and respond quickly to any questions. One of the nicest places I have stayed in (and I have stayed in lots 😀).
Comfortable rooms, the bed was also comfortable (neither too hard nor too soft).
High quality finishes to the décor (reflected in the price),
Good quality products for breakfast, delicious indeed although the same offer each day (limited variety, no hot dishes, only boiled eggs)
Parking garage right across the street (for overnight parking as it charges for each exit, not per day) - 9 euro max and at the time of our stay there was a discount price of 5 euros max for each entry/exit
We liked the hotel so much that we decided to stay in it when we arrived in Erlangen for the second time. Were very satisfied! The entire staff is client-oriented, friendly and attentive: both managers and maids. Helped to solve even those problems that were not related to staying at the hotel. It's nice that the hotel respects its guests so much. Thank you! You feel at home in the hotel. What could be better?!
Very clean room and bathroom with all you need. Self-check-in and check-out worked well. Wi-fi was ok; free parking in front of the hotel. The staff was very nice: we paid for the room via booking but when we checked in we paid again with our card (you have to provide a card otherwise the automatic system will not allow you to enter). The receptionist realized it herself and in the morning returned us money.
Friendly and efficient on the phone. I had a problem downloading the application that gave me access to the apartment. With a simple phone call, without even stopping my car, they resolved everything remotely. Once I got there, I could easily access my apartment. The place was spacious and impeccably clean. I have to go back to Erlangen frequently and this will definitely be my final stop.
The Niu Cure Erlangen looks like a brand new hotel. It has modern design and amenities such as USB-C port in the room sockets. The rooms look nice, the reception has fun games (foosball, Jenga, board games). The breakfast is good, but not very diverse. The reception staff is helpful and expedient. At about 60 euro per night, I'd say this is excellent value for money.
We had a very comfortable stay at Hotel Smart Inn. The location is very quiet, which is important for us because we like to sleep with open windows. The interior has a very nice balance between traditional and modern. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
Great helpful staff in very cozy modern looking hotel. Location is bit off the city center but you have train station just 2 minutes from the hotel. They also look after the environment and will reward you also if you do it. Neat little trick!
Well, only the staff was okay.
The bar was strange because everyone where drunk. Even the bartender. I wanted to have a nice evening there and to try out some stuff, but everyone where drunk, so hope everyone had good toast for this.
The service in the hotel is very friendly.
The AC in the room worked perfectly and kept the entire room at a good temperature.
The bed was comfortable to sleep in.
The room was very clean every day, with eco-friendly towel service.
This hotel is perfectly situated for those travellers who may be crossing Germany enroute for their final holiday or business destination.
The concierge at reception - who speaks several languages fluently - made us most welcome.
The hotel is located near the town center and Main Street of Erlangen, the rooms are clean and spacious. There is a parking garage right cross the street which is reasonably priced. The staffs were very friendly and helpful
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They supported us several times. In particular we are thankful to Simone. The room was clean and cozy and the location was quite central. We recommend this hotel very much!
We were travelling across Germany and this hotel is just off the main road with petrol station and store beside it. Welcomed very well and room very clean.
