Breakfast was good. No live counter. But, attentive staff who can offer you hot chocolate on order. Very limited breakfast options. Pleasant morning view. Staff is too supportive and does out of the box activities if you convince them for the need. Room heaters work. I cannot say it is affordable as it is costly; but overall you can rely on this location if you would want to work in near by areas such as Weisensee where no good stay places are there.

This is not a 4-star hotel, it is to large extent simple in its rooms and facilities but a place with amazing history from about 1000 A.D. to East German times. If you enjoy remarkable places but do not require polished 3-star (or above) conditions, this place might amaze you. I would have loved to roam the castle buildings as a kid. Note: No lifts in the castle, you need to be able to use staircases.

Extremely courteous and hard-working staff. Even though we arrived after the official closing time for reception - there was no problem at all. Very clean room and the whole hotel. Good offer in the restaurant and a very tasty and varied breakfast.
