We had a doubleroom with balcony (which we did not use because of rain) - and one bathroom each :) Probably two former single rooms had been joined into one, since the room also had two entrance doors. The room was spacious, but with little room to walk by the end of the bed. Separate bathrooms were therefore convenient at night. Staff was nice - my husband arrived early and was allowed to check in before check-in time. Our bicycles were stored in a locked garage overnight. The hotel is within walking distance to the old town with lots of restaurants. Breakfast was good.
Good location in the centre of the village across from the church. Parking is possible in front of the hotel.
The room we had (no. 106 for 3 people) was very spacious and well-furnished. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Make sure you visit the Castle and Denkmal hill behind the church. If you want more exercise, there is a 7-hill walk you can take around the village. The route is mapped on a board on the Denkmal.
A hotel at the Burg Stargard … you literally enter through the lower gate of the castle to get to the reception.

And we found it very charming that we needed a small carriage to bring suitcases to the hotel. Bring cash for parking and coffee.
Booked this Hotel on short notice for one night. The staff was very friendly and the food / dinner in the restaurant was very good, an honest kitchen. Will come back here in case in the area again.
