I lived on the military base in Büdingen as a kid and it was wonderful to return after more than 50-years. Büdingen is story book half-timbered, cobblestone dream come to life. It’s off the major tourist grid so there are no crowds to contend with. Lots a good dining options and perfect for people who want to slow down and get away.
Nice Castle hotel, conveniently located. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and attractions. The hotel itself is one of the attractions of town. Breakfast is ok. Rooms are clean. We stayed in a spacious room with a nice bathroom. Second floor rooms, no elevator (it is an old building), so keep in mind there will be stairs if that is an issue.
The breakfast was very good. The room was great, bathroom, shower very good. The location was perfect, everything in the old city within walking distance. I had an excellent evening meal in the hotel's restaurant. The staff was very professional and friendly.
Marc our host was awesome! Spacious 1 bedroom apartment in Diebach, a small town close to Büdingen. Very close to the Ronneburg castle. Large living room, full kitchen (except for freezer). Amazing for a longer stay.
Lovely newly opened hotel in a charming and quiet historical village. I travelled alone and hade a small but absolutely beautiful room. Everything is brand new and renovated with great taste. Good breakfast.
