The warm welcome and comfortable room. The evening meal was excellent and copious. Breakfast was a delight with such a choice. Boiled and scrambled eggs, cold meats, tomato and mozzarella, fresh bread rolls and home made jams.

It was really nice, quiet and clean. Bornich is a nice stop at the Rheinsteig in between Kaub and Sankt Goarshausen, if you don't want to walk >20 kms.

Beautiful hotel in a very old building. Room was lovely with a view of the Rhine. The breakfast is delicious with plenty of choice including a hot eggs and bacon option. Staff were lovely & very helpful. We ate at the restaurant one evening only as it only does Thai food - which was very nice but we like German traditional options and they had none. We walked to Bacharach along the Rhine in about 1 hr 20 which was an easy flat walk and bach again. Highly recommend this hotel if visiting the lovely historic town of Oberwesel.

Great location on the hills about 4km above the Rhein. If you are looking for a good base for walking along and around the Rhein valley, it’s perfect. The hotel itself is quite modern inside with a lovely bar and restaurant area. Outside is a lovely terrace with overhead blinds and great views of the surrounding countryside. We opted for dinner, bed and breakfast which is recommended as there didn’t appear to be anywhere else nearby to eat. However, dinner was absolutely superb and well worth the additional €27 each. We’d also chosen a small double room and it was very spacious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
