Hotel Steinkrug is convenient to the Autobahn. I arrived on their rest day but my key was waiting for me in a security box. All I had to do was make a phone call and was given a security number and I got my key. I have used this Hotel several times before and would recommend.
This hotel is located in the city of Gehrden, which lies favourably in the Calenberger Land region, close to popular, forested hiking trails and 15 minutes by car from Hanover.

Clean rooms and bathroom, comfortable bed, heating in the room and bathroom, excellent breakfast with a varied selection, staff very friendly and welcoming. They accommodated me with my requests and even brought my stuff up to my room because I couldn't be there to check in due to a business meeting. Location is 4 minutes from the bus stop that takes you directly to the center of Hanover. There is a huge supermarket as well as restaurants and a pharmacy directly next to the hotel and there's even a swimming center a mere 5 minute walk from the hotel. The busses run until late and there are even night busses. The shopping street with a bakery and other shops is about a 7 minute walk from the hotel.
Just a 10-minute walk from Springe Train Station and located directly at the market place, Deutsches Haus offers accommodation with free WiFi access. Saupark Nature Reserve is a 15-minute drive away....
