Fantastic, picturesque little town with a castle at the heart of it. Perfect for outdoor lovers. My girlfriend and I could have spent much longer here, there are so many hikes from the town and also within a short driving distance.
Small family hotel run by a very nice couple. The house very charming with its long hallways, sofas and reading corners. The rooms are nicely equipped, there is a great Chinese restaurant in the building with very nice and affordable food (incl. buffet) and a spacious garden to walk your dog or have the kids run around. Not to forget the bowling lane which was great for our kids to have some excitement during our long trip. The location is great for our journey through Germany and we will stay there again next year.
The room was clean, the bed was good and the shower hot. Very fine, when you have been walking the whole day. The staf was really friendly. At a very good price I took a chinese buffet at night and that was a good choice. The hotel is simple and without luxury, so if you are searching for that go somewhere else. Nice little traditional hotel with lovely gardens. We had a room with a balcony which we enjoyed. A little plant box with trellis or similar to separate the outside space between rooms would give a little more privacy, but it's still a lovely thing to have.
The rooms are a bit dated but nice and clean and comfortable.
We didn't use the restaurant but it smelled really good!
We booked the place mainly because of the beautiful location, but the hospitality of the hotel and the staff, lovely room and delicious breakfast made our weekend. We also got help with a broken bike. Thank you for having us and we will definitely come back!
Very friendly, super quiet, clean, excellent location on the edge of the forest. it was actually our second choice as the hotel we used to stay in the area does not accept dogs anymore. We are happily swapping it for the first choice :)

Nice spacious room with terras that had a view to the deer. directly next to the parking lot start the trails into the forest. Good hotel along the Hermannsweg.
