This town is not very known and was a complete surprise for us. A well preserved town through the ages with an old city center and a huge castle located in a valley in an interesting landscape!

Small but ideal place for short visits in Altenburg. The place is pretty close to the center, the personal is super nice and take care of all the details. The breakfast, even under Corona conditions, is really good and complete with different and varied quality products. Perfect relation quality/price and comfortable and clean installations.
It is a nice, clean and comfortable apartment in the City Central location - Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße 7, 04600 Altenburg. The owner wen extra mile and was very helpful with getting us accomodated at late arrival after 12 midnight (as our flight were delated and we had to travel from Berlinn to Altenburg in the evening)
Very convenient to the train station. The main city is not too far away and serviced by buses too.

Pleasant, very quiet hotel, facing a green area and a pond. Dinner, wine, beds were all fine. What stood out was the real forthcommingness of it’s young, helpful and truly friendly staff. For us a place to stay en route to Italy.
Very nicely located hotel in the middle of town, with excellent rooms and even more excellent breakfast! The staff were very nice indeed, and the hotel had adequate bicycle storage facilities, which we needed.
