This apartment proved to be a hidden gem that exceeded our expectations in every way:
- The generous space inside for such a type of apartment.
- The sleeping areas were comfortable
- The apartment's surroundings were truly special, with a charming field where cows grazed nearby. This idyllic village setting created an unforgettable vibe and allowed us to connect with nature in the most delightful way.
- Every essential item we needed was thoughtfully provided, both in the well-equipped kitchen and the bathroom. This attention to detail made our stay effortless and enjoyable.
- A standout feature was the flexibility in check-in time, which allowed us to plan our arrival at our convenience, making our trip stress-free.

We had a warm welcome from our hosts. The property is newly renovated with bright, spacious rooms. The breakfasts were great and our host was very informative about sites in the area.

This is a good place to stay if you have private transport - we were at Kaneny Statek, a km or so to the north. The next valley to the West, with the Vltava River leading to Cesky Krumlov gets very crowded with tourists in the Summer - rafting on the river and vising the towns and castles.
Staying just outside the valley is the best of both worlds - crowds and activities when you want them and quiet in between.
Rožmitál na Šumavě has a Co-Op food shop - but opening hours are variable. The nearby town of Kaplice is way better for shopping and restaurants than Rožmitál na Šumavě.
A short drive to the North East from a turn off on the road #1572, at Nearby Zahrádka 42, 382 41 Rožmitál na Šumavě, Czechia - there is a wonderful riding stables. Look for a couple of small roadside signs. We just turned up and were able to arrange rides on trails in the nearby woods - which was a holiday highlight.
