Our experience was a wonderful one. From the walk introducing us to the location to the mosquito netting in each room, the service and facilities truly matched the B&B feel. The food was delicious and the sustainability and care for use was always present. The people were kind and generous with their time, and their pleasantry was almost infectious. Dinner is made in a very small kitchen and the wait is a bit longer than usual, but the food was spectacular and the patio area, with the sea and its sound in the distance, made the wait worthwhile. We would recommend it fully, even thought the surrounding area still needs developing the overall environment is lovely and worth the stay.

Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days.
Tarrafal by itself is nice to visit for a few days. Beach, good restaurants, you can do hikes on Monte Graciosa, and Tras os Montes. Restaurant 'chez mama' has some hiking maps. And good food too.
I spent most of my time fishing. From the rocks at Punta Atum, of from a boat.
One thing to keep in mind. Tarrafal in August is hot. You can go up to Serra Malagueta where it is cooler. But rainy in August.

Very cosy little town with nice beach and friendly local people. You can eat very affordable in local bars/restaurants or choose European food in couple of restaurants. The center is quite small, so you walk around easy. Beach is nice and not too much people.

Amazing beach, friendly people, very nice "city" to walk around. Not much to do there so a couple of days are enough to get to know the place, but can't hurt to stay longer and just relax at the beach that is AMAZING!
You can eat at Cegonha, Buzios or at the Vista Mar hotel restaurant next to the beach!
Seafood and fish is really fresh.
Fabulous stay at an unique location. Amazing staff and Narciso at the front desk was awesome at helping us make arrangements and comes up with great suggestions. thanks so much to everyone at King Fisher. An absolute must not miss opportunity with amazing hikes and the beautiful town of Tarrafal 🥾🙌❤️
Guesthouse attached to a restaurant 200m further where the breakfast is, the space between the two is the middle of a restructuring so is a mess. Despite to have a look in the problem with cold water, it wasn't fixed. Tarrafal itself is relaxed.
The hotel is simple but have everything you need. They present a clean space, breakfast included and they are very flexible about check in and check out time. The location is pretty nice, literally with view to Tarrafal beach.
The house is in a great position and tidy, clean and comfy. Antonio is a great host and always ready to give you assistance and any tips you may need. I recommend to stay here if you go to tarrafal!
