The location was good as it was close to the beach and not far from the town. The views from the terrace and pool were amazing and proved a great vantage point for watching the birds and wildlife of the surrounding area. The staff were warm and welcoming; nothing was too much trouble. We felt relaxed and comfortable there and we're sad to leave. Thanks to everyone

Beautiful property situated in a very peaceful location. The infinity pool affords a stunning view of the forest and the ocean below. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable and the breakfast is freshly made and delicious. Highly recommend.

The lodge is located inside a lush jungle pocket at the top of the first hill / mountain from the ocean, with unparalleled views of the Pacific (you can see the waves breaking). The property has a fantastic cooled pool and a jacuzzi, with an extended terrace with sun-beds overlooking the jungle and the ocean. The room we stayed in was very spacious, boasted modern amenities, and had it’s own patio with a couch and a hammock (again, overlooking the ocean).
Eva and Markus are extremely kind and two marvellous human beings with interesting stories and a sincere interest in their guests. The breakfast they make is otherworldly, with homemade yogurt, bread, and a huge selection of homemade jams. Their dogs, Brava and Nera, are sweet and playful.
I highly recommend the Palmetto lodge and my only regret is that we stayed just one night.

The location is what makes this hotel great. Next to the beach, which is beautiful and very quiet with most of the time only a few.fishermen. I wish I would never have to leave.
Bring your own food and drinks because there are almost no restaurants or shops around the hotel. You can use the communal kitchen, which is well stocked with all the amenities you need to cook a meal.
The breakfast that was made every morning was really plentiful, for me even enough to also cover lunch. Everything was also really delicious!
Don't expect luxury, the rooms are pretty basic and have only cold showers (which is fine because it isn't that cold). I didn't have issues with mosquitoes. The ceiling fan just ran 24/7 and kept them out I guess.

It felt so good to sleep in such a comfortable bed but in a tent - right in the middle of nature. You could gaze at the stars at night time and hear all of the beautiful nature around you. Misha and Jen are wonderful, friendly hosts who made our stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast (and conversation) were very much enjoyed :-) Thank you!
