The room was very big and the bed very comfortable. The pool and jacuzzi where very nice and cleaned everyday. The place itself is well maintained and near everything.

Fortuna is amazing - weather was perfect (summer weather but not too hot especially on the trails / hikes), had a bit of rain but we got quite lucky and avoided it for the most part. Foliage is some of the most beautiful I've seen, mix of tropical and rainforest. Would highly recommend doing a waterfall rappelling tour & a chocolate tour (Don Olivo). Wish we could have stayed longer to do more nature tours to see animals, though we did see a sloth our last day on Bogarin trail (it's quite hard to find yourselves, would recommend following a tour guide). Next time I'd also stay closer to city center and at a larger hotel - we stayed at a boutique and it was very nice, but a bit hard to transport around and hard to communicate as we only speak a little Spanish.

If you have no need for the beach, then La Fortuna is excellent. However, if want to visit a beach, it's up to you if a 3 or 4 hour drive is worth it for the Hot Springs. Because, Jaco and other beach destinations also have waterfalls and other activities in common with La Fortuna, but they don't have the hot Springs

Fablous facilities and numerous options for activities, the waterfall is magnificent, a good climb back up ,real cardio workout, but worth it.The rio celeste river is a must see ,amazing blue colour, about 2hrs from Fortuna but worth the trip

It's beautiful! Wonderful food and people. We liked the waterfall repelling, spent half a day at the rope swing, major highlight of the trip, didn't spend a lot of time in town, loved the Fortuna waterfall, didn't prefer the free hot springs. We are a family with 3 teenage boys. We would have liked more time here to explore and visit another hot spring/spa.
Good sized hostel right in the downtown area of La Fortuna, lots of bars and restaurants close by. On myain road so easy to get to excursions. The hotel portion was very spatious and the pool was fun. Little bit cold at night, would be nice if it had a hot tub, but for a hostel its great. The circle cabins in the back looked cool, but all the backpackers seemed to have their stuff spread out everywhere, so I was happy to stay in the hotel part. Would definitely stay here again!

The room was a great size for our family of 5 (it had two queen and one large single beds).
The location was great as it was just few minutes drive to downtown and about 20 minutes away from main activities in LA Fortuna (Arenal National Park/Arenal 1968 and hot springs (Los Lagos)

The surroundings are magical and the cabin very spacious, huge glass walls to observe the surroundings. Beautiful location on the edge of the rainforest on the foothills, 5 min driving from the waterfall and outside of the town of La Fortuna. Excellent for birding, even the hotel grounds had so many species. Pretty pool and observation deck. If budget allows take the lodge with a pool and deck ;)
This hotel is absolutely beautiful! It’s in a fantastic location and the garden area is just stunning. It was too cloudy for us to see the top of the volcano unfortunately but we still had a great view. The rooms are lovely, the beds are really comfy and the breakfast is delicious! We saw a sloth right outside the hotel too which was fab!
Staff were wonderful - friendly and very helpful, tried to go above and beyond. Great breakfast at on site restaurant; provide lovely opportunity to watch the birds every morning (particularly enjoyed by kids), as well as Arenal Volcano in the distance. Hotel was in a convenient location for getting out of/returning to Fortuna.
