Had three nights in a 4-bed dormitory (2 of them alone). Selina is generally quite expensive, but low season gave a really good price. Facilities are outstanding, from showers, beds and air condition to kitchen, terrace and common areas. Didn't engage in the social activities, but there are arrangements every night for those who want.

Friendly and helpful reception staff, friendly cleaning staff, not very friendly restaurant staff. Great location for the museums (and the best Argentine restaurant directly across the road).

The view of the hotel is very nice, when it's not cloudy or raining. The breakfast is good, there is a small menu available and you can take coffee or tea. The portions are not huge. There are cats and a dog at the hotel which we very much liked. They liked to be petted. All in all the hotel is not really spectacular. Very good for 1 night when you arrive in San Jose by plane or are about to leave.
