My favourite town in Colombia, I was supposed to stay 2 nights but added 2 more and could have stayed longer as well. The town is beautiful, people are very nice and welcoming, many amazing restaurants with veggie options as well, and plenty activities to do in the surrounding area.

Barichara is a hidden gem, one of my favorite towns in Colombia! It is a bit difficult to get to (being a 3.5 hour drive from the nearest airport in Bucaramanga), but once you are there is is divine! So clear, well-maintained, safe! There is lots to do, from hiking the Camino Real to various extreme sport excursions (paragliding, canyoning, white water rafting, etc.). But you could also just relax and meander through this charming town which feels like it is from another century. There are so many amazing restaurants, and the service is top-notch. We have visited Barichara twice now and would love to come again.

it was an excellent new experience in a Glampin. The city of Barichara is one of the most beautiful I have seen in Latin America, the Hotel Nativo Glamplin is excellent, the weather fantastic the food... the only negative issue, more than 7 hours by car from Bogota.

Barichara is a very pretty and safe town small town. There are plenty of restaurants, hotels, and shops but it could use a few more points of interest. ( the paper “factory “ is great) Every person I had contact with was very pleasant, patient,and professional. It is a 100% tourism driven town and they do it right.
The Tuc-Tucs are a great way to get around town.
Be sure to take in the view from the Mirador.
If you walk El Camino Real be sure to stop at “ the juice house !”

Barichara is a small and very beautiful pueblo style town. You can walk the town in one day but there are several things you can do like taking a 5km walk to guane, learn to make paper, learn to paint with natural soil sediments, go horseback riding and eat delicious foods. The people are nice and courteous, they don't price gouge tourists wrongly. Very scenic and beautiful.
Camilo was a great host. He gave us alot of suggestions what to do in Barichara. And no matter what problem we had he was always there to help us. He even got us bustickets for our next trip
The house is gorgeous. Its very old and charmig but in perfect condition. Our room had always the right temperature without fan because its almost 5m high and it has a traditional roof.
There is also a nitendo to play and a nice garden. What we also appreciated wad that ita was a nonsmoking hostal.
Our room was large and spacious with a huge balcony. The price was unbelievably low! The family who hosted our stay at the Posada, was wonderful. Everything was perfect. We are hikers and it is located along the Camino Real which is an amazing pathway weaving itself along the mountains. Be sure to visit the village of Guane and of course Barrichara along the route of the Camino. We both felt that this was the best stay of our trip to Colombia

The patio is not only a lovely place to have breakfast in the morning and unwind after the day but also a space where you can have a chat with the owners who are full of advices and stories to share. If you want to stay in a place where you feel that ''mi casa es tu casa'', this is it :)

It is a great location away from the town and secluded and very tranquil. The hosts were wonderful and offered us free coffee/tea on arrival and in the morning. The place itself is beautiful with hammocks and lounge chairs. Definitely a place to stay for a family if you are visiting Barichara.
Lovely clean apartment with several comfortable beds, a little seating area, Netflix and kitchenette as well as a wonderful host who was on hand to help with everything and offered us a lift to San Gil. Couldn’t recommend it enough; stay here for a night or two in the peace of Barichara.
our host was very kind, the decoration of the house is lovely and the room is very confortable: large bed, bathtub, shower with enough hot water 😍 the host organised our transport and put us in contact with a agency for the activities. the Breakfast is served on a lovely terrace.
Friendliness and respect, the location was a bit too far to walk several times during the day to the city centre, however, the hotel is cool and I would 100% recommend this place to pretty much anyone. you if you have a pet no need to worry, they are pet friendly as well.
