Everything about this hotel is amazing. Starting from the location - it’s the best possible!!! Why? Because it is in the Main Street of the city (Caracoles Street), but it is in the end of the street, so you don’t have a lot of people walking around the hotel and don’t hear any noises. Also, all the tour companies leave the tourists exactly in front of the hotel after every touristic tour.
The staff?? Amazing people, always with smiles on their faces and always ready to help you with whatever you need!
Well, don’t even get me started on the room!!! It is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND COZY, nice internal space in both the room and bathroom, everything is functional… you have your own control of the room temperature though the heaters and fireplace (a gas one, very nice) and it might seem normal, but many hotels there don’t allow the guests to turn the heat on. The bed is giant and reaaaaaally comfortable, like the pillows as well! I cant find any flaw in the room, honestly.
The breakfast was also great! They give you a menu and you choose what you want, how many times you want them, and it is a fast and effective service. Also, if you go out on a tour really early in the morning, you just have to let them know that you want a “breakfast box” and at what time you leave and they make it to you, all included in the hotel.
Well, my stay there was absolutely perfect and all I have to do is congratulate all the team there!

San Pedro de Atacama is a small town with a charming atmosphere and a tourist center with many good restaurants and very friendly travel agencies. San Pedro is the hub for all tours and activities in the Atacama Desert. We stayed within walking distance of the downtown area. The town is very busy at night and weekends. Many excellent restaurants. Tour companies are all along the main street.
I would recommend renting a car and visiting most sites on your own. All main highways are paved and most sites are easy to locate but have dirt/gravel connecting roads from the main highway. Just slow down and take it easy and a sedan will be all you need. A 4X4 is only needed for really difficult off-road travel.
I would recommend staying for at least 4 days to have time to see the sites without being rushed.

San Pedro de Atacama is one of the best destinations in Chile. There are many may things to see and do, from geisers to salt flats. There is an activity for everyone. Weather also helps in keeping you wanting to do some outdoor activities. I love it!

An incredibly vibrant small town in the desert. The tours available to surrounding areas make it a first choice destination. The diversity in the landscape from the salt lakes to the high mountain geysers is just amazing. The availability of different food choices is really good. Pizza, pasta, empanadas, stews etc. There is a fabulous bakery ,La Franchicheria, on Licanbur street that every minibus stops at to pick up the bread for the tours(breakfasts luncheons snacks included in the tour). Their white chocolate and raspberry croissant is just the best ever.
Unfortunately as it was a full moon and cloudy we didn't get to do any stargazing. For our tours we used Mitampi on Caracoles Street. Ask for Julian.

A small and beautiful city, in the middle of the desert, focused on turism. The places to visit are extremely beautiful and unique. Good restaurants and easy to get around. I've been there in December, dont know if it is the best time of the year because it is very hot. Maybe october or april would be better.

The boutique hotel is very charming. The rooms are clean and the staff- Patricio and Victor - are very accommodating. Patricio is an expert in trips surrounding SP Atacama. The excursion recommendations were great. We enjoyed all of the trips- some off of the beaten path. The breakfast is very generous with many offerings. And the hotel has many refreshments for an afternoon of relaxation by the pool.
The hotel is about 15 minutes from the town center but this makes for many peaceful nights of rest.
My friend and I chose this place at the last minute, for a short extra night in the San Pedro de Atacama region since the place where we had stayed in San Pedro was no longer available. In other words, we didn’t have high expectations and we didn’t take time to really enjoy this place. For the very limited time we spent there, I can just say the bungalows seem comfortable enough.
The unexpected presence of farm animals next to the cottages brings some charm.
Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible views, restaurant, bars and pools. The perfect place to relax after amazing tours arranged by the hotel. Not cheap but good value considering the quality of everything you get. The staff also couldn’t be more helpful making sure your stay is perfect arranging for tours, dinners, trips into town….nothing is too much trouble. A stay to remember!
Two goats two dogs and three cats came to greet us when we arrived.. I was afraid that the accommodation would be a little bit smelly because of the animals nearby but it was in not case at all. The room was round bungalow with thatched roof, with nice terrace...a cat came sleep on our beds. You can get free filter water while other hotels in town give you no water at all

Rooms designed with an extreme care of details, spacious, comfortable and beautiful. Lovely restaurant onsite. Wonderful team - really helpful in making all your arrangements easy. Near the main street in San pedro de atacama (Caracoles Street) and the hostel has everything that you need to your stay. Enev that we don’t have breakfast in the hostel, we have a big kitchen that we could buy our food and stuffs to prepare everything for us. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, in the heart of San Pedro de Atacama. The room was great, very clean. We arranged all of the tours through the hotel, which exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was great. In summary we highly recommend the Anka hostel and hope to visit again in the future.
We had a really nice time at the Hotel Cumbres. The rooms are well decorated and spacious, the beds are comfortable and cozy. Everything is very clean. The breakfast was very good, several warm and cold options. We also enjoyed the food at the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

The whole staff were unbelievably kind and very knowledgeable about San Pedro. The room was clean and beautiful, with tons of space and a lovely patio; the hotel meals were sublime each day. It's the perfect place to rest and relax in Atacama.
The hotel was clean and well organized. I arrived late (around 9:30PM) but check-in went smoothly. The hotel even packed me a small snack/breakfast bag because my shuttle bus to Bolivia was picking me up at 6:30 in the morning.
