Some of the staff were somewhat unfriendly. Moreover, they created a confusion with the consequence that, on day 2, I could not get into my room. Fortunately, the confusion was straightened out pretty quickly. The remote control of the TV had empty batteries.

Best transport with bikes or if you are staying in an official hotel travel pass, otherwise transport is expensive and time limited (e.g. you need to start and finish your journey in 1 hour CH3.70 or buy a day pass CH9.30). Food is really, really expensive, 3-4 times more than the UK...we were told many swiss go over the border to the hyper markets in France, probably would take a bag of food as check-in next time as the cost savings would be huge!! Saint-Sulpice its self is beautiful and quiet and we'd definitely go back for relaxation. Good market in Lausanne on Saturday morning (Riponne-maurice Bejart on metro 2)
