Location absolutely beautiful town. Near the parking Garage there is a swimming platform. Diving into the lake is a must do. Don't dip a toe and test the water first. Step back run up, jump high dive in and resurface a new person!!!

We stayed here for three nights in June 2024. The room was spacious and comfortable with a wonderful view of the lake. The hotel is charming and the staff were all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The pizza is one of the best I have ever had and the village of Morcote is very beautiful and tranquil. I would be very happy to stay here again.

The flat is lovely, a little old-fashioned but very cosy. The location is perfect and the views over the lake are outstanding. Elena is a kind and responsive host. We would definitely stay here again next time.

You must take a swim in the lake. Near the parking garage is a swimming platform. The lake is perfect. Don't test the water first, Don't dip a toe. Take a few steps back, run, jump high, Dive in a resurface a human reborn. Months latter I still think about that dive in the water in the most beautiful lake I have ever seen.
The town is expensive. But If your traveling through. Stop my kid love car spotting from the cafes.

It is a pearl of the Ticino area. The park Scherrer in Morcote is great, the village is just lovely and the people are nice. Stroll around, and enjoy the views and the village. Later you can dine in Pizzeria della Torre.

Paradise!!
Paradise!! Very accessible, there are buses & trains, boats going to the center. Quiet & peaceful & love to hear the bells from time to time.
& the famous scenery is just around.
BTW, just want to add for the Albergo Hotel- staff are nice & kind. The bus stop is just inftont of the hotel.Foods are delicious..

Stayed during winter, so no restaurant was open or stores whatsoever. Also due to covid so I can't comment on that.
Else the views are beautiful around Morcote. There's this old structure where you go upstairs to reach a church. While going upstairs there are small gardens where you can rest and enjoy the view.

Morcote is a stunning medieval village with easy access to Lugano by boat or regular bus. There are flower bedecked board walks and some fabulous restaurants and cafes. I spent an idyllic stay wandering the paths and narrow winding paths and steps. You must climb the steps to the church to enjoy the spectacular view of the lake . Then walk down a track to the rear of the church to reach the Botanical Gardens. A Italianate terrace of gardens with statues pergola and if course more glorious views of the lake and useful Seats to rest whilst climbing steps. I enjoyed a swim in the lake each day and was pleased to catch a bus to return in the heat of the afternoon to my lovely tranquil Casa Angelina where I was able to use the garden to read and relax. Dont forget Italy is a 12 minute hop on the boat to Porto Ceresio where I happily enjoyed a glass of wine .

Morcote is the perfect place to enjoy the Lago di Lugano and the weather, food and hospitality of Ticino. Take a swim in the lake, hop on boat to tour the lake, hike up to Vico Morcote, enjoy the view from the church, and finish the day in one of the many restaurants with a glass of Merlot.
Great location on the lake with a beautiful swimming pool. The apartment is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy a long stay (including a washer and dryer). There was on site parking and even an electric car charger.
Fabio was amazing. He met us to check us in and show us everything, including great recommendations for dining and activities (Ristorante della Posta is the best!). He was very accommodating and quickly answered all of our questions.
the apartment has just been renovated with good taste and has all the comforts. It is located exactly in front of the lake, just above the arcades of Morcote where there are shops and restaurants. Very convenient for the boat and as a starting point for beautiful excursions. A few meters away you can swim in the lake. Great WiFi signal and TV with Netflix.
Very kind staff, pets allowed, unbeatable location in Morcote, right in front of Piazza Grande bus stop. Restaurant is very cute with 4 areas to choose from: first floor overlooking the lake, main dinning room next to the bar, a sunny terrace outside and an amazing platform on top of the lake itself. The village of Morcote is delightful. The apartment is centrally located just steps from the lakeside. The apartment was comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen and nice lounge and dining area. Beds were comfortable. Accessing the apartment was straightforward and we were able to get in early when we arrived to Morcote.
this was a very nice property right on the lake and in the center of morcote. we didn’t have a car, and navigated fairly well by bus around the towns. The apartment itself was very modern and comfortable, with gorgeous views and all facilities imaginable. we had no complains at all about the apartment, it was

The property is literally at the bus stop and water ferry yet we heard no noise from the street. The restaurant is highly rated so we tried it the first night and returned the second as well. They provided stand fans in the room which was greatly appreciated. The view from the room and hotel are wonderful.
The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.
Picturesque surrounding area (residential part of Morcote), walking distance to old part of Morcote, good breakfast, great views to the lake, great restaurant, parking in front of the hotel. Short drive to Lugano and short drive to Milan (under 1h).

Loved everything about this magical, small hotel: staff (Andrea and Maria) food, room and public spaces decor, the quiet, the stunning views from our room, and their hotel and farm restaurants. Perfect place.
The location was top even without a car, as the walk to the center of Morcote was about 10 minutes only. Extremely quiet so great for deep sleeping. Pleasant welcome including cookies and small present.
