We booked a lake/mountain view room and it did not disappoint. We found the hotel and booked for the view. It had good parking, train was just over the road and the travel from Zurich airport was easy.
It has a rustic charm and is so clean and well maintained. Our room was simple, very clean, had everything we needed and the staff were very helpful for anything we required.
It is a great location to travel to Luzern, Interlaken etc. At the end of a busy day it was lovely to come back to the peaceful lakeside.
Lungern has a great little restaurant near the caravan park, a bakery and shop for essentials. It has some stunning walks, no direction would disappoint. It is a 1.5hr walk from the hotel or a train stop. In hindsight, we would have got essentials in Zurich before heading to the hotel.
The food at the hotel was amazing, the prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity provided. We did have breakfast one day and didn't realise it was a standard charge which set us back 120CHF. As two small people we opted to grab a croissant from a bakery most days. Every evening we ate at the hotel though and it was always perfect.
The two best things about the hotel are the view and the staff. I honestly can't say how amazing and happy they were to help us. We will certainly be back again!

Location is the best. 30sec walk to the nearest Train station (lungern) which connects to main attractions so so convenient
The breakfast is so good. Bread eggs cereals fruits jams cheese juices nuts coffee.. everythings so good

Plus points to the corner where there is water, microwave, available clothing iron, with coffee and tea and more... and there's even free post cards to take, plus the map guide of the area where you can go around...

The host was very nice. I forgot the instructions for check in and had called the host directly. Franzi was super nice and patient to explain everything till I opened the door :) and the code pad provided were great as well :)

We were able to reasonably check-in even though we were quite late on arrival and staff was very nice about it. The whole hut is clean (for a mountain hut).
The cosy Hotel Weisses Kreuz offers you a great central location in Brienz, in the immediate vicinity of the train station and the ship pier. Enjoy charming rooms and fine Swiss cuisine.

This Hotel is near the station and only a short walk to get to the funicular to the Reichenbach Falls. A beautiful looking hotel that reminds me of the days back in the 1800's. I wouldn't have wanted to stay anywhere else.

Actually the place is nice but the housekeeping is terrible. We stayed for 3 nights and they never actually change our towels and the worst is they never clean the room although we had the sign that needs cleaning.
We have to call their attention every night .
Our vacations ruin everything whenever we come back to the hotel as we are disappointed of the situation..
We had a great day but it destroyed our aura as we return..

we would stay longer next time so we can rent a boat for the day and take it all in even more.
i can highly recommend hotel&restaurant Kaiserstuhl to book your stay or even get a refreshing drink and amazing local food made to perfection.
you can drive around with your car, come by train or bus. there is so much to see, cute little village,water fall,lake,big church, camps and swissalp scenery

Perfect place to enjoy nature, take good pictures of the snowed mountains and the pretty lake.
The stay may be combined with visits to Lucern and lake of Brienz which are not far away.
