This traditional property was very comfortable, clean and provided everything we wanted. It is in a great location with great views to the church and Staubbach waterfall and within walking distance of everything. The hosts were friendly and quick to respond to our enquiries.
One of the top wonderful creations of God! A must visit place in Swiss. It's really a cute fairytale valley surrounded by mighty mountain ranges on either sides flowing numerous Loud-Fountains (in German, Lauterbrunnen 😀) We were staying there and have plans with my family to re-visit again and again 😀 a lot to explore still.

This valley is beautiful.
This valley is beautiful. It had amazing views and mutliple things to do. The restaurants weren't the best with exception to Restaurant Weidstübli and Betty's Corn Dogs. Those two places were amazing! The town vas very crowded at times and we were there in the sholder season. Not sure if I would visit here in the summer because the downtown area is very limited.

Excellent rail link from Interlaken and then access by train or cable car to various mountains. Whilst the village is quiet it has a coffee shop and a few other shops open during March, I'm sure many more in the Summer.

The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful.
The town Lauterbrunnen is wonderful. Small town with a cliff on both sides. Very scenic. Murren and Shilthorn the Ski Attractions are accessible through Lauterbrunnen. Nice cosy hotels and wonderful food and friendly people is what Lauterbrunnen offers. Its very close to the wonderful town Wengen (20 min via train) which is at a Hill top opposite to Lauterbrunnen and connects to Jungfrau - The Top of Europe.
Lauterbrunnen is a must visit town if one is visiting Switzerland and wants to enjoy a very scenic and less crowded experience.

The place view is beautiful especially the Staubacch Falls. The property manager is very helpful he was very detailed about entering to the property. If you have questions or problems you can easily contacted him via phone or WhatsApp and he will answer your call right then.
This is a beautiful property with an old time feel. I have stayed here four times now and have never been disappointed. It is not changed in 15 years. The staff is exceptional and I even remember Maria from at least 10 years ago. She’s marvelous. The front staff was exceptional. They even gave us water when we came in on an 80° day! So thoughtful. The room was comfortable, and we did put a beautiful view with a balcony which was extraordinary, well worth the money best place to have stayed in all of Switzerland.
We loved the kitchen facilities which made it easy to cook our own food and save some money on eating out every meal. 1. Eating out in Switzerland can be quite expensive and 2. After travelling prior to our arrival here we were really wanting some home cooked food so we’re thrilled with the kitchen.
We were at first nervous about the shared bathroom but we were in a private room and on our floor of 4 rooms there were 2 toilets and two showers to share, we never had to wait and they were always super clean!

2. Room is spacious, bed is comfy, great view when we open the window, cozy room with local feel (Swiss typical furnish), we fall in love with the room (We booked Twin Room with Shower)

5. In the Ground Floor, there is a Pub and Resto (Good food and ambience)
Definitely recommended Hotel in Lauterbrunnen
A wonderful place to stay in Lauterbrunnen. The home is spacious and comfortable; the perfect base to enjoy walks, hikes and quick train rides to villages nearby. The beauty in this area is astounding; absolutely breathtaking - loved having my morning tea on the balcony while viewing the majestic waterfalls. Experts believe that the inspiration for J.R.R. Tolkien's The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings were taken from this spectacular region of Switzerland.
This charming little hotel is perfect for its price and value. Small yet comfortable, quiet and the rooms were clean. It’s centrally located in Lauterbrunnen and although the restaurant isn’t affiliated with the hotel, it’s convenient. The front receptionist was helpful and the elevator was a nice bonus, especially since we had a wheelchair. Oh the view of Stabbauch fall from our room balcony and outside the hotel, is amazing!
The hotel is located next to the Lauterbrunnen train station. There is a bit of a walk to the Staubach waterfall. The staff was very generous. They were kind enough to give us an electric water heater to keep in the room. The breakfast had good options of bread, meat and fruits which were satisfying for us. We had a good view of the surrounding mountains from the room.
Perfect view of the mountains! We stayed here for 2 nights for our first time in Switzerland (from Australia) and really enjoyed every part of it. The view was incredible, room was clean and comfortable and the bath tub with a view was an added bonus! Our only dislike is that we didn’t stay longer!! Thank you for a great stay, we will definitely be back!
You can’t get a better location than this!! Directly in the middle of Lauterbrunnen with everything you need within a 5 min walk. the hotel is comfortable and warm. Its an old chalet so it’s got character, it’s a good thing! We had a double room which had a balcony with absolutely ridiculously amazing views. The restaurant downstairs is good.
Wonderful family-owned hotel in Lauterbrunnen! The bed was comfortable, the balcony was a fantastic addition (we were facing the cable car and the train station and found it fun to watch the trains go by). Breakfast is included, which is a huge plus! Just an overall fantastic stay. Location is perfect and the views were WOW.
The location is just perfect. The hotel looks directly to the waterfall. Lauterbrunnen is such a charming and cute town and you are staying in the middle of all those cuteness :) Carol is the wonder woman. She interacted with all her guests individually. The breakfast was superb. We really enjoyed our stay :)
We believe we had the best room looking up to Lauterbrunnen’s waterfall, the bell tower and over the village. Parking outside hotel was convenient, breakfast was nice and tea/coffee was available which was lovely touch. Reception and breakfast staff were very helpful and pleasing. Thank you
We decided to go to Lauterbrunnen for Christmas, we didnt know it would be the best christmas for the 3 of us, thanks to the personal we had a super nice day. We had our xmas dinner at the restaurant of the hotel and it was the best decision ever. Thanks for making our xmas super special
We were so impressed with our stay at the hotel Oberton, besides the location being perfect, the staff was exceptional, the Rosti was delicious, the rooms were clean. The view from our patio was unforgettable and we loved being in the heart of Lauterbrunnen. We can’t wait to return!
Great hostel in a beautiful location. The host was so friendly and very welcoming. We loved being in Lauterbrunnen and were able to access several cafes and restaurants close to the hotel and plenty of beautiful hikes! We would recommend this hostel to anyone!
This place was a little slice of heaven in the Lauterbrunnen valley. Exceeded my expectations in every possible way! The staff were lovely and very helpful, the rooms were clean and warm, and the restaurant was delicious! Would absolutely visit again.
