The rooms are clean and well taken care of, the sauna is very nice and there are charging points for our electric car which was a big plus.
The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. Since we wanted to extend our stay and there was only the suite left we were provided a very nice upgrade from the front office manager Paul. This left us with an unique experience of the hotel and Lucerne. We also really liked the private terrace area in front of the lake. Big thumbs up from us. Definitely coming back if we return to Lucerne.
Merlischachen is just a few stops from Luzerne trsin station and it's a beauty!!! We were upgraded to a room that had balcony overseeing the lake!!! The room was big, well maintained, the hotel had all the facilities.. the mini library with the coffee machine was a really cute corner!!! Surrounding area was worth seeing .. u can just walk around to reach the lake and also trek around!! I would definitely recommend!!

The stay overall was amazing. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Moreover, we got a room category improvement, which was really nice. The room was clean and had everything you need. A great bonus was a free minibar. There are a picturesque lakeside and a sauna, and a comfortable terrasse as well as a coffee/tea zone in the hotel territory. The breakfast was abundant and tasty. Late check-in was seemlessly easy, really enjoyed the automated system in place. Room was super clean, spacious, modern, I liked the touch-control hub for all lights in the room. Only awkward thing, the shower curtain blocks out the bathroom light so you have to shower with it open, and the bathroom window opens on to the road. Otherwise, really great place, exactly what i want out of a work hotel.
We got upgraded to the sister property Hotel Schloss across the street, which was lovely, so I can’t review this property, but amenities at the Schloss are included so can share about that! The grounds are beautiful and right on the lake with chairs and tables to enjoy. Also loved the sauna and attached relaxation room.
We were given an upgrade to their adjoining property, the Schless Hotel, which was across the street and right on Lake Lucerne, a magnificent view and location just a few minutes from Lucerne. Room was spacious and you felt like you were in a castle. Breakfast was also amazing.
Wonderful location and very hospitable staff. The hotel has a private beach area and a bistro by the lakeside. They give you a transport n museum voucher for the period of stay - you could ask the reception to email this to you in advance if you arrive by public transport.
The hotel vibe is great, our room really felt like a castle chamber. The reception staff was so accommodating - our dog even got his own blanket, bowl and a toy! Very nice people and beautiful surroundings- right at the lake. The hotel has direct access to the lake front.
