Nice location. Breakfast fair, staff inattentive. Impossible to have something to eat on Sunday evening either in the hotel or at the restaurant. We were advised to take the train to the next town!

Short bus ride from Lucerne train station. The hotel is quiet with amazing views. Lovely big room for family.

The hotel is situated in Weggis, just below Mount Rigi and only 2 minutes from the ship departure point, featuring a lakeside. Despite overlooking the street, our room was peaceful as the island is quite small. The location was perfect for exploring the area, including a day trip to Mount Rigi and a boat trip to Lucerne. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the rooms are spacious. The staff provides excellent service, and the breakfast is good. Although the hotel's decor is a bit dated, it certainly offers good value for money for anyone planning a trip to the area or wishing to visit Lucerne.
We had an excellent experience staying at the hotel, although the hotel is relatively a bit far from the city or attractions and it is required to arrive by train or car, the hotel itself compensates for this disadvantage, the hotel staff is friendly and welcoming, design with a special atmosphere, very good breakfast, private and comfortable beach, view Charming from the room, hard and high-quality mattresses for a good night's sleep.
Late check-in was seemlessly easy, really enjoyed the automated system in place. Room was super clean, spacious, modern, I liked the touch-control hub for all lights in the room. Only awkward thing, the shower curtain blocks out the bathroom light so you have to shower with it open, and the bathroom window opens on to the road. Otherwise, really great place, exactly what i want out of a work hotel.
The hotel was very clean. The room was a good size and although our room faced the road we couldn't hear the traffic noise. The staff were polite and friendly and spoke good English. There was a good choice for breakfast and everything was fresh. The timings for breakfast were good ie spread over a few hours.
We arrived by train after dark. It was a downhill walk to the hotel. They put us in the newer building in a lake view room at no extra charge. It was quite a treat for us. I think they had plenty of rooms open that night. We ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent.
We were given an upgrade to their adjoining property, the Schless Hotel, which was across the street and right on Lake Lucerne, a magnificent view and location just a few minutes from Lucerne. Room was spacious and you felt like you were in a castle. Breakfast was also amazing.
On a previous visit we were upgraded to a room with its own bathroom (rather than shared) but this time we were upgraded from the cheapest room with shared bathroom to the best room in the hotel! Just a pity our balcony view of the lake was through mist! Superb breakfast.
Wonderful location and very hospitable staff. The hotel has a private beach area and a bistro by the lakeside. They give you a transport n museum voucher for the period of stay - you could ask the reception to email this to you in advance if you arrive by public transport.
The hotel vibe is great, our room really felt like a castle chamber. The reception staff was so accommodating - our dog even got his own blanket, bowl and a toy! Very nice people and beautiful surroundings- right at the lake. The hotel has direct access to the lake front.
The hotel was very accommodating as when we had very hot day and needed fresh air they allowed us to use another room witha balcony so our little family could get some much needed air. They also changed our room as we were facing the sun and gave us a back cooler room.
Nice and large room with beautiful views, the entire hotel was old fashion designed
Some small treats were available like free caffe, free minibar, nice.
In the evening I thought to rate it 9.5, but the breakfast was so disappointing
Merlishachen is a lovely village. The reception lodge of the hotel is wonderfully located, with a beautiful park and view on the lake. The histork lodge is separated, conveniently located not far from the train station.
Oh WoW!
This hotel is special !
Everything is superb!
Staff very nice, they even had a toy ready for our dog,
The room is beautiful,
Breakfast was good, not many options but what was there was nice!
Good location and breakfast. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. The hotel also gave complimentary tickets for local public transit in Lucerne and a complimentary large bottle of spring water.
