This is a great little hotel and is the third time I have stayed here whilst visiting the Willisau Christmas Market. The rooms are situated in an adjacent new modern building and the rooms are large, well-appointed with modern excellent bathrooms. You need to leave this building to get to the actual hotel, but it is a matter of a few metres away. The hotel itself was built in 1907 and is in a more traditional Swiss style. There is a contrast between the rooms and the hotel that reflects the building method and time. Breakfast is of a simple continental style but appropriate.

The Sonne Seehotel enjoys a quiet location right on the banks of Lake Sempach, about 25 km from Lucerne. All rooms have a Nespresso coffee machine and a balcony.
Grosswangen was not on our radar. After a long ride by car we felt very welcome. We were offered a drink while the children could enjoy the pool. We could walk to the small village and the next morning we left very early. Nice conversation with a very friendly host.

Restaurant bar in the hotel was expensive but not bad. Menu was a little strange for choice but the food tasted ok and just what I needed after a long day traveling. The Cordonbleu was really good!
