The hotel is very central and in a beautiful historical building. We stayed in a very spacious room, furniture is simple but elegant. The bathroom (also spacious) had a lovely big vintage look bathtube and a shower cabin. The breakfast is served at the table and it is freshly prepared.

The host was very friendly and helpful. The room for 3 was spacious and included a small kitchenette, with a kettle, fridge, and crockery as well as coffee, tea, sugar etc. Appreciate the welcome gift of Swiss cheese and nuts. A restaurant is available about 10 minutes by car.

I slept like a baby in this authentic farmhouse, in which I felt like going back in time (but with a new bathroom). There is something peaceful about this place, which is not about luxury and extras, but about grounding and connection. The hosts were welcoming and warmhearted and the breakfast was made of local products. They farm cows, pigs and spelt, and you can visit a cheese making demonstration in the village (lovely 20-Minute-Walk) and a mill in the region (accessible by bus). It's also a great place to stay if you go to kreativtraining.ch.

Burgdorf is a wonderful location, for exploring Switzerland, as it is central to Bern, Zurich, and Solothurn. With Burgdorf as our base, we did the Emmental Cheese tour, wia rented bikes, and loved exploring the region. We will definitely return!

Beautiful boutique hotel, complimentary water, amazing breakfast, including freshly boiled eggs.

We were on a 16 day trip, visiting France, Italy and Switzerland. This hotel was by far the most outstanding, due to the decor, facilities, breakfast and the staff, lead by the fantastic Ferdinand! We will be back for sure!
The location was beautiful and peaceful. I traveled for work and was comfortable with the proximity to my office as well as the use of the Wi-Fi when I was working from my room. The room was lovely and the host was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again on my future trips to Burgdorf area.

The only irksome thing was the Wifi. Most hotels just let you into their Wifi as a guest and the others just need a password. Having to sign into Swissscom and giving them all sorts of info was a little over the top for me.
room was excellent size for the price. clean.and new looking location was perfect as we have family in area and its also close to train which we used to go to Bern. so was easy as a walk from hotel

I stayed for a night, basically I'm a princess now. It has a museum which it should be called experience instead of museum and it tells the story of the Burgdorf from the beginning till now.
I liked everything. Great, friendly staff, location, room, bath. And the breakfast! I liked it all here. This was easily my best hotel experience this year. I will for sure come back.
Everything about our stay at Hotel Orchidee was fantastic! The staff were very friendly and hospitable, the food was tasty and the view from the rooftop terrace is delightful.
