I have stayed here before and the biggest advantage of this hotel is the location next to the funicular to the railway station. But it is also perfectly located in the center of Lugano's old town.
They have rooms with 3 beds which was perfect for this stay.

We had a fantastic stay, myself, my wife and our 3 dogs (two Labrador’s and a Great Dane cross Saint Bernard). Only had to pay 100chf for the dogs in total for the night. They had also left out 3 dog beds big enough for all our dogs and a little treat bag for each of them, they were incredibly accommodating. For dog owners it’s a perfect hotel to stay at.
The family-run Hotel Delfino has a privileged location close to the lake shore and next to the pedestrian area which leads into the heart of the city of Lugano.

Great spot not far from the Italian boarder and make sure to go into Brusino Arsizio there are a couple small parks and you also have very nice swimming areas as well and small cafe and restraints. Make sure to go across to Morcote and there is a small 2 hour free parking with disc before the park house which is great if not wanting to stay longer.

The location is super - our room had lake view. Must be stunning on a sunny day. It rained when we were there.
Breakfast was very good and quite diverse - however there was just on thing of each (one slice of ham, cheese..) so I believe a man would have left the table hungry. It was plenty for me.
The hotel lady was very nice and helpful.
The breakfast was excellent, with great variety. The staff gave us baked goods to go every morning. The hotel is located in the center of the charming village, with spectacular views of Lake Lugano from the breakfast area and lake view side of the hotel. Great wifi in our room.

Many things about the hotel are quite all right. We are very thankful for the hospitality of the staff.The price is exorbitant for such a Spartan room, but that is the reality to put up with.
Big room overlooking the lake, quiet and comfortable. Fantastic breakfast. Brusino Arsizio is a lovely quiet village, in a spectacular position on lake Lugano.
