The hotel is in a fantastic location on the side of a mountain in the beautiful Loetschental, with stunning views in all directions. It is a short (but steep) walk from the cable car station, with plenty of hiking and biking possibilities in summer and direct access to the slopes in winter. We were very well looked after by the staff from start to finish. Our room was comfortable, quiet and cosy, and the food in the restaurant was very good. A great place to stay to enjoy Alpine scenery at its finest!

The location is great as it's right in front of the cable car (which was unfortunately closed, out of season) and there is car parking behind the hotel.
The location of this hotel was ace - simply beautiful. This is because we love hiking. Steeped in history the hotel has been there for decades and is presently run by an extremely efficient and caring team of staff. We would love to return to this hotel and spend a longer time. Our very big thanks to the Reception Manager/Owner for arranging early breakfast to enable early departure and for being so efficient and helpful in every way.
The hotel is located in a great location to access the picturesque Lötschental in Blatten. The staff was very friendly and welcoming and I had a great overnight stay. I had booked a single room and that was just the right size for me. The room was clean and offered all the comforts I needed. There is an in-house restaurant with a varied menu and the food was great. Same goes for the breakfast, which was very generous.
The breakfast buffet was abundant, local specialties. Also, lunch and dinner very good.
We did some snowshoeing in the area, directly from the hotel. We ended the day with some relaxation and warming up in the hotels newly remodeled sauna. The dinner very traditional with an innovative flair. We highly recommend this hotel for charm, relaxation and getting out in the nature nearby.
We loved the place, we were looking for quiet / relaxing and out of the crowd for the holiday season and it's exactly what we've got there. Fantastic walks straight from the hotel and amazing chef cooking nice plates for us (take half-board if you don't want having to take car each time to go to other restaurants in the other towns of the valley).
A lovely hotel in an unspoilt alpine village. The staff were friendly and efficient, speaking both native German, good French and some English. The buffet breakfast was excellent as was the evening meal menu. We took the post bus to Fafleralp (10 minutes) where the walks and views are superb. The younger, fitter guests didn't need the bus!
The room was comfortable and large enough, the bed very comfortable for my spouse who needs just the correct firmness to sleep without irritating problem joints. The dinners at the restaurant were excellent! The hotel is well situated for hiking around and in the Lötschental.
Wonderful family run hotel! Really enjoyed our stay and warmth with which Esther welcomed us. The food served in the restaurant by the Chef Laurent was extremely good, also good selection of local wines. Highly recommended it!
