The access to/from the pistes is very good, practically ski-to-door. Staff is very friendly. There is a bar in the hotel with good beers. Rooms are small, but totally enough for a 1 day stop. The breakfast is good, if you are from the south, you will like croissants with marmolada, if not, you will like everything else: eggs, bacon, cheese, ham, and more. I have been here in winter, but it looks like you might like this place in summer more.
Located in central Arolla, Hotel du Pigne is only 300 metres away from the Les Fontanesse ski lift. The restaurant serves regional specialities and has a large terrace with mountain views.

The hotel is absolutely adorable with cute comfortable rooms. The restaurant serves delicious food and the staff is really nice. We stayed over New Year’s and we enjoyed our stay very much.

Staying here enhanced my overall experience of the alps and visit to Lac Bleu. It was a charming little spot, right at the start of the trail, tucked away in the wilderness. Also had some of the best carpaccio I've ever had from the downstairs bar/restaurant for dinner. The room was basic and typical for a wooden Swiss cottage, but it gave me everything I needed for a one night stay!

Cosy and well equipped with everything you could need. Comfy bed (firm). Great shower. The underground parking space was very useful. I guess in warmer weather we would have used the outdoor seating area too. There are a bakery and a restaurant around the corner. The host sent clear information before our stay. Super value for money too. We will definitely stay again.
Arolla is a gem of the Alps. Unlike its neighbour Zermatt it is unspoilt. A good variety of hikes up to alpine huts and lakes. The more adventurous can hire a guide and trek on the glaciers or climb the various peaks such as Pigne d’Arolla or L’aguile de Tsar. The Arolla forest is especially pretty and peaceful and accessible.
the view from the room straight to the mountains!!! at night from the balcony you can see a sky full of starts; amazing restaurant at the hotel with a huge variety of food (including traditional Swiss options); the furniture in the room: bed, sofa, another sofa (so that you could sit & enjoy mountains from different angle); various breakfast options; helpful staff; close to different hiking trails; located right next to bus stop and grocery store

The hotel is in an absolutely stunning location. We liked the retro-chic of the decoration. The room had a good size and was quite basic; the view from the balcony was great.
As we avoided eating in the indoor restaurant we opted for very late lunches in the beautiful garden with nice mountain views. The service there was very nice and the food excellent.
There was a bath in our bathroom which was an amazing surprise and the bath salts were excellent for recovering from a long hike the previous day! The restaurant attached to the hotel was great and had a wide ranging menu including some plainer foods like spaghetti bolognese which we were craving after eating slightly too much rich Swiss meals.
This was our fifth or sixth stay at the Kurhaus in the last few years. We always enjoy our stays but this time we were blown away by the new chef and menu! The dinner we had was probably the best meal I've had in Switzerland after living here for almost 3 years. The level of service throughout the hotel has also improved significantly.
We LOVE this hotel. The decor is a quirky, but it is spotlessly clean throughout. It's in a brilliant location, right opposite the shop and bus stop. Severine is super helpful, they provided non-dairy milk on request and an early breakfast. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent. Our third stay and we will be back!
Location, location, location. Wonderful spot in the middle of the mountains in Arolla, with views on the Pigne & Mont Collon. Rooms are tiny and creaky, the shower is not really fit for tall (or large) people, but the surroundings and the authenticity of this place make up for all of this. It's just a magical place.
This hotel certainly is grand, with all modern amenities in a traditional setting. The restaurant was also excellent, and the staff friendly and helpful. It was a bonus when hiking into Arolla that Kurhaus is the first place you come to!
For the money, this hotel is outstanding, right from the welcome to the standard of the room ( balcony, coffee machine and tea making facilities, bathroom goodies...) to the restaurant. The breakfast was great too.
This was our third stay at the Kurhaus. We love the location--we go to Arolla to ski and you can access the pistes directly from the hotel--and character of the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
Romm was pretty good though there was no view, Arolla is a very small if quaint town. Front desk person was helpful. Food at the restaurant was very good and the breakfast good as well.
The staff at this hotel were very friendly and helpful when we stayed while trekking the Haute Route! I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone travels the Haite Route!
The staff was very warm, friendly, and helpful. The hotel itself was nice and the room was spacious and comfortable. The view was also superb. Great breakfast too.
They hotel was super clean with all the amenities. They even offered a laundry service which was very reasonably priced. It was a wonderful stay and we'll be back.
